Abington is a small village in the Clyde Valley and is said to be over 2000 years old.
The picturesque rural village of Abington can be found less than half a mile from the M74 motorway, in the Clyde Valley. The small village has a village store, post office, and the welcoming Abington Hotel. The Romans resided in this area and there is still evidence of forts and settlements, some other nearby attractions include, Leadhills Mining Museum and railway, also New Lanark World Heritage site and Robert Burns birthplace in Alloway.
