The Moray Coast covers almost 50 miles of Moray's coast from Nairn in the west to Banff in the east. Forres , Fochabers , Elgin , Lossiemouth , Cullen, Buckie, Portsoy , Macduff and Banff . The "Moray Coast Trail" has a number of walking routes and information is available in most Tourist Offices explained in a colourful free guide.
In this much unexplored region there is Spey Bay and Roseisle , you can see one of the largest dune systems in Britain. Elgin is the largest town in the Moray Coast area and home to the Elgin Motor Museum , Cathedral, Biblical Garden in Cooper Park and Brodie Castle. Nearby is the Victorian town of Lossiemouth which has a championship golf links and is opposite the Lossiemouth Hotel. Further east, there are the fishing villages of Buckie, Cullen, Portsoy, McDuff and Banff. Portsoy has a fine 17th century harbour and a number of craft shops. Banff, the capital of Banffshire is on the estuary of the River Deveron, famous for its salmon catches, and nearby is the attractive Banff Golf Course and historical Duff House.
