LIVERPOOL

With its unique attractions, exciting events, world class sport offerings, unrivalled musical heritage and famously warm welcomes, Liverpool is the ideal destination to visit and explore.

With the largest collection of museums and galleries anywhere outside of the Capital, Liverpool’s culture and heritage are at the very heart of the city.

Albert Dock is one of Britain’s top heritage attractions, situated in a spectacular riverside setting as part of Liverpool's UNESCO designated World Heritage Site.  www.albertdock.com

You’ll always find a fantastic selection of things to do, places to explore and exciting events. There is the tate gallery and 6 other world class exhibitions, take a cruise on the mersey, hear the beats of the beatles at the Cavern or take in a show at one of the many theatres scattered across Liverpool

MERSEYSIDE

Through the Tunnel lies the Wirral and Birkenhead. The Wirral is a great area for beaches, coastal walks, golf courses & bird sanctuaries.

Shut off from the mainland by the tide for five hours in every 12 is Hilbre Island, it’s no surprise that Hilbre Island was a favourite stop-off for smugglers in the 18th and 19th centuries. At least that’s what the rumours say. Nowadays, it’s more famous for its wildlife – grey seals, oyster catchers, curlews and sometimes kestrels – who’ve made the Dee Estuary their home. Its a 2 mile walk from West Kirkby, but be careful for the tide, as the island is cut off from the mainland 5 hours out of 12.

CHESHIRE

There are so many attractions in Cheshire to visit and so much to see and do, you wouldn't want to miss a thing! Whether you're travelling alone or with loved ones, there is something to interest everyone.

The Anderton Boat Lift is an incredible edifice, perched on the banks of the River Weaver like a giant three-storey-high iron spider, unlock the wonders of our waterways at National Waterways Museum, Ellesmere Port or explore the waterways on a different level with a stay on Andersen Boats and visit The Lion Salt Works, Britian's newest heritage attraction.

Discover over 12,500 wonderful animals and 400 different species including some of the most endangered in the world at Chester Zoo or if you prefer to shop, get up to 60% less at 145 luxury and high street brands at Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet.

Take the kids for a magical day out at Gullivers Word Resort with its many family friendly rides, attractions and shows or let them go wild at Splashzone, an indoor water play factory.

Cheshire is well known for it's many stunning gardens, why not visit the award winning Ness Botanic Gardens overlooking the Dee Estuary with the finest collection of rhododendron and azaleas in the Northwest or visit Trentham Gardens with its vast perennial plantings providing breathtaking vistas that change throughout the seasons. There are magnificent Country Estates like Tatton Park & Lyme Park.

Port Sunlight is a true delight. Built at the end of the 19th century, this garden village was originally built as a home for workers at the nearby Lever factory. This model village is the work of over 30 architects, and the variety of architecture and the beauty of the buildings is unique in the area. In 1922 the Lady Lever Art Gallery was opened; housing the magnificent personal collection of the first Lord Leverhulme it was named in memory of his wife.
