Gretna is situated right on the border between Scotland and England and is only 9 miles north of Carlisle. Gretna is split into two Gretna Green Village and the town of Gretna. Gretna Green is more famously known as it is the Gateway to Scotland and was the Marriage Capital of the UK. Being a popular destination for eloping couples from England who wanted to get married at a young age due to the legal age being lower in Scotland than in neighbouring England.

Gretna Green Famous Blacksmiths Shop: One of the most iconic landmarks in Gretna is the Famous Blacksmiths Shop, a historic building dating back to the 18th century. It was once the place where runaway couples would get married, and now it serves as a visitor center, housing a museum, shops, and restaurants.

Devil's Porridge Museum: Located in nearby Eastriggs, this museum offers insights into the history of the HM Factory Gretna, which played a crucial role during World War I as a munitions factory. The nickname "Devil's Porridge" came from the explosive materials used in the production.

Caledonia Park (formally Gretna Gateway Outlet Village): If you enjoy shopping, Caledonia Park is a great place to explore. It features various brand-name stores and offers a chance to find some excellent deals on designer goods.
