Spean Bridge is located in the stunning Scottish Highlands. The village is a perfect get away from the hustle and bustle of the Town or City. There is also a whole host of activities available for you to do right on the doorstep. These include hill walking, golf, and fishing.
Spean Bridge takes its name from the bridge over the River Spean. It was the bridge which was on General Wade's military road between Fort William and Fort Augustus that the name was taken from and not from Telford's bridge. Telfords Bridge was built 1819 and carries the A82 over the River Spean, at the heart of the village.
Spean Bridge is the last railway station stop before Fort William on the West Highland Line
