Balloch is a small town in West Dunbartonshire, on the banks of Loch Lomond and is easily accessible from Glasgow by road and rail.
Apart from Loch Lomond one of the popular attractions at Balloch is the Loch Lomond Shores. This is home to the National Park Gateway Centre, where you can learn all about the famous loch and its surrounds.
There is also a selection of designer shops from Jenners of Edinburgh to Hawkshead outdoor clothing, restaurant and the Loch Lomond Aquarium.
The restored paddle steamer, The Maid of the Loch, is in residence here also.
