Things to see & do in Callander
Callander is located in the near to Stirling on the River Teith. The town is located in the former County of Perthshire, and is a popular tourist stop to and from the Highlands. Callander is the eastern gateway to the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, the first National Park in Scotland. Due to its location it is often referred to as the "Gateway to the Highlands"; a title it shares with Perth.
The pictureque town is crammed with teashops and souvenir shops. Callander also gained fame as the location for the original 'Doctor Findlay's Casebook' television series.
Nearby attractions include Doune Castle, Loch Katrine, Rob Roy's Grave at Balquhidder and the Bracklinn Falls.
