The Childer Thornton is a quaint village exactly half way between Birkenhead and Chester.
The village is home to three traditional English pubs, one of the pubs is named ‘The Halfway House’ and used to be a stage coach stop between Chester and New Ferry in the 1770’s.
For those of a green fingered nature the village has its own Garden Centre - Burleydam Garden Centre
