Things to see & do in High Wycombe

High Wycombe is situated in a deep valley, in the heart of the Chiltern Hills,  it is the largest town in Buckinghamshire and only 29 miles from London. Its Georgian High Street consists of many brand name shops. There are two shopping centres: the Eden Centre (newly built in 2008)  and the Chilterns Centre, which is located in the Frogmoor area of central Wycombe.

There are many attractions to visit around Wycombe. 'The Rye' is an artificial lake, surrounded by hanging beech woods, which encompass a Nature Trail, is used for fishing and during the summer months, for boating.  Hughenden Manor Park is also worth visiting,  this Victorian Gothic house was the home of former Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeili. The house is open seasonally and there is free admission to the park all year. Wycombe Air Park, 2 miles south of the town centre is home to the Blue Max Museum a collection of historic flying machines which have starred in many films.
