The village of Aldwark is located approximately 14 miles from York and lies on the River Ouse.
The village is home to the Aldwark Manor Golf Club & Spa Hotel and Rising Sun Fisheries as well as Aldwark Arms village pub.
The village is reached by Aldwark Bridge which is one of the few toll bridges still in existence today. The bridge takes you from Aldwark over to Great Ouseburn and into the Harrogate area and costs a mere 40p which will save you a 25 mile detour.
