Tarbert's annual seafood festival in Summer bring crowds from across the country to the harbour.
Another feature of the village are the rugged hills which create a dramatic backdrop.
There a some scenic walks available, you can walk from the harbour to Robert the Bruce's castle which once towered above the village but is now ruins or perhaps take a hike over to Skipness.
Tarbert offers great ferry links one of which is the CalMac ferry, which connects Kintyre with Portavadie on the Cowal peninsula, leaves from Tarbert's Pier Road.
