The town of Hawick is in a great position for visiting the Scottish Borders with Jedburgh and Selkirk both within 10 miles away.
Hawick is famously known for its history in the knitwear industry. The town therefore has many shops with a large selection of knitwear and cashmere. To find out more about the Textile heritage of Hawick take a visit to the Borders Textile Towerhouse which is located in restored 16th-century tower house.
On the wooded banks of the River Teviot is the Wilton Lodge Park which has 107 acres of riverside and tree-lined walks, and a walled garden. The Hawick Museum is also located within the park and details the town's history.
