The Chez Roux restaurant serves French classical cuisine with flair and lightness, using the local products as much as possible.

The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner and serves both a set menu and a la carte menu options. On Sundays enjoy a traditional Roast option.

Greywalls offers a fine selection of wines to accompany your lunch or dinner and can offer a stock of fine malt whiskies and cognacs to complete an enjoyable meal.

If you don't feel like dining in the main restaurant and just fancy something a little lighter Greywalls Hotel are able to offer a variety of alternative all-day dining options.

The Bar at Greywalls provides a warm and friendly atmosphere in which to enjoy a pre-or post -restaurant lunch or dinner beverage. As you would expect our bar offers a wide range of drinks to suit. When the weather is fine you can enjoy the terrace with picturesque views over the garden and is also available for light lunches and afternoon tea.

The Lounges are warm and relaxing. They are the ideal choice for a lighter or more informal meal The Bar Menu is available all day and features a wide range of freshly prepared food, along with tea, coffee and drinks.

Location & Directions

Directions to Greywalls Hotel in Gullane

From Edinburgh City Centre to Greywalls
From the east end of Princess Street (Balmoral Hotel), follow the signs for the A1 to Berwick-upon-Tweed. When you leave the city it will become a dual carriageway. Follow this for about 8 miles until you reach the ‘Bankton’ slip road, then follow signs for North Berwick. Go straight over the first roundabout, then at the next roundabout turn right onto the A198 which you then follow into the village of Gullane.

Greywalls is located at the far end of the village, turning left where signposted.

From the North via the Forth Road Bridge
Follow the M90 South to Edinburgh crossing over the Forth Road Bridge. On leaving the Bridge follow signs for the A800, which then becomes the M9 (signposted to M8 Glasgow/Edinburgh).

Join the M8 at Junction 2, heading East towards Edinburgh. At Hermiston Gait, join the City Bypass (A720), following the signs for Berwick-upon-Tweed and the South.

Stay on the A720 until it joins the A1, then take the A1, still following the signs for Berwick-upon-Tweed. At the Bankton junction, take the A198 which is signposted to North Berwick. Stay on the A198, through Longniddry, along the coast to Aberlady and into the village of Gullane. At the far end of the village, take the last turn on the left (signposted at the road end). Greywalls are on the right.

We advise that you pre-book a time for dinner. 
Please note that the time you book for dinner is your arrival time and you will be taken to your table half an hour after this e.g if you wish to dine at 8 pm, please book 7:30 pm arrival, for drinks and canapes and we will take you to your table at 8 pm

Family Accommodation:
The rates quoted are based on 2 people sharing. Any additional adults or children added will not be included in the total cost quoted by myhotelbreak. This will be added on at the hotel. Please keep this in mind when checking out at the hotel.
