Disappointed in our stay at Airth Castle, the setting and the room was lovely however the customer service really lets the hotel down, the best service we received was from the young boy serving dinner everyone else really lets the hotel down. We called ahead direct to the spa to book treatments during our stay to then be told when we arrived these were not booked in, disappointing start. Staff at reception did not appear friendly and upbeat. We had to ask for directions to our room after receiving key, this was not volunteered. We received a bottle of wine with the package we had to stay and we were not given the option of which type we would like ie red or white, a bottle of white was delivered to the room and we asked at reception if we could have this with our dinner to be told no it must be had in the room, we Ofcourse would have preferred to sit downstairs. Overall the staff were generally stern and downbeat, wouldn’t go back based on this. The purpose of the getaway is to relax and unwind for a night or couple of days and not to come up against negativity or objections to simple requests.

Just had a wonderful break with six other ladies at Priory Hall hotel, Bury St. Edmunds.The staff were all very friendly and helpful, from the cleaners to the manager and couldn’t do enough for us! One of my party is partially disabled so was unable to use the dining room, but without hesitation, the receptionist suggested they set up a table for us in the lounge! Brilliant! Food was ok and everywhere was clean and comfortable. Certainly value for money.
I thought booking the offer with My Hotel Break was going to be problem as I need a disabled room and singles, but Ainslie and her colleagues were absolutely fantastic and sorted it all out for me. What a great company! Thank you all!

Under previous comments I asked if possible for twin room. No response as yet but due to circumstances my daughter is now coming and twin room is even more wanted

Just spent a weekend on DBB with our dog the room was excellent the staff were extremely friendly the food was very very good. We have found a brilliant hotel we definately week be back

We had a fabulous time at this hotel the room was lovely and the bar area was okay but there could have been a few more tables and chairs because there wasn’t any available we had to stand . The breakfast was good but could have been hotter

We were apprehensive about coming with the mixed reviews but so far our experience has been 5 star.
Booking was easy and staff very friendly, room was one of the older rooms but very clean and big so have no complaints with that.
We had lunch on arrival which was lovely as was our 2 course meal last night, special coffee,s are also really nice, staff are so nice and friendly which makes this hotel so homely.
Looking forward to our second night.?

We got a voucher for a 2 night break off our daughter, although it has been a hassle booking our requested hotel and date the girls at my hotel break could not have been more helpful and pleasant. They have been brilliant during the whole process top marks to you.
