BREAKFAST
The goal at the Lakeside Hotel is to make the most important meal of the day – a highlight of your stay. Breakfast is served through to a leisurely 10:30 am daily.

The pool and relaxation area are visually stunning with etched glass panels of Lakeland landscapes creating an elegant poolside setting filled with natural light. Set beneath the roof garden, the 17m pool overlooks Lake Windermere and offers exclusivity to hotel residents.

Alongside the main swimming pool, a second area with a shallow beach-style effect is the perfect leisure area for families. If you want to sit and relax, there is the poolside jacuzzi, steam room, sauna or oval lounge offering views of the full pool area, lake and fells.

Location & Directions

Directions to the Lakeside Hotel & Spa in Newby Bridge

The Lakeside Hotel lies at the peaceful, southern end of Lake Windermere and getting to this Lake District hotel is quick, easy and very scenic. 

BY ROAD
Only 15 minutes from junction 36 of the M6 motorway, follow the signs for Barrow and South Lakes, travelling on the A590 to Newby Bridge. Go straight on at the Newby Bridge roundabout and take the next turning right over Newby Bridge itself. Follow this road for 1 mile which will bring you to the Hotel on the shores of Lake Windermere.

Or simply follow the brown direction signs for ‘Windermere Cruises’ from the M6 they will lead you right to our front door!

Valet parking is complimentary at Lakeside Hotel for all our residents. On arrival simply pull in at reception and we will park your car for you just a short distance from the hotel.

Electric Car Charging Point
We are pleased to offer our guests the facility to charge an electric car on-site. Our 13A/15A sockets are located outside our Windermere Suite Conference centre. They will top up adequately albeit slowly.

BY TRAIN
With nearby stations supporting rail services from all over the United Kingdom, including the East and West Coast Main Lines, you can travel with ease to Lakeside Hotel by train from almost anywhere.

Arrive at Oxenholme the Lake District station on the mainline from London to Glasgow. Avanti West Coast travel time between London Euston and Oxenholme the Lake District is as little as 2 hours and 40 minutes.

Lakeside Hotel is 20 minutes from Oxenholme station with direct trains arriving from London Euston, Manchester Airport, Birmingham, Edinburgh, and Glasgow Central.

BY AIR
From Manchester Airport take the M56 to join the M6.
Take the M6 North to Junction 36. Travel from the airport to the hotel takes around 90 minutes.

The Airport train station is situated within the terminal buildings and offers direct trains to Oxenholme Station in as little as 90 minutes.

From Liverpool Airport take the M62 (West) to join the M6. Take the M6 North to Junction 36. Drive time is about 90 minutes.

There is only 1 accessible room available at this hotel and is on a request-only basis. The room type is a Lakeland View room therefore will carry an upgrade supplement. This room is a ground floor, accessible room with a small patio and en-suite wet room. 

Car Parking:

The hotel shares a car park with the aquarium, they offer valet parking or you can park yourself and reception will issue you a voucher to ensure parking is free. You are welcome to drive up to the hotel entrance to unload your luggage.
