Each of the 91 bedrooms at the Caledonian have been designed with comfort in mind and most rooms benefit from the addition of a seating area,

Standard rooms are styled with clean, muted shades, while the executive rooms feature bright modern décor and furnishings. Many executive rooms also feature views of the leafy Georgian terraces.

The four suites retain much of their classic Georgian character and have various individual features such as a four poster bed in the Rosslyn Suite and a separate living room in the Jesmond Suite.

Directions to Caledonian Hotel in Jesmond near Newcastle

TRAVELLING BY CAR
From the South
Follow the A1(M) North to Newcastle. Leave the A1(M) at junction 55 and bear left onto the A1. At the next junction exit the A1 and take the A167 (Durham Road) into the city. Continue on the A167 crossing over the River Tyne. The A167 now becomes the A167(M), continue on it until the Jesmond exit and then head onto the A1058. At the traffic lights turn left. The Caledonian Hotel can be found on the right after 0.6 miles.

From the North
Follow the A1 South to Newcastle. Depart the A1 onto the B1318 (Great North Road). After 3 miles go left on the roundabout onto the A189 (Jesmond Dene Road). Take the first right onto the B1600 and follow until you reach the Caledonian Hotel which will be located on the left after just under 1 mile.

FROM THE AIRPORT
Leave Newcastle Airport, at the roundabout take the first left exit. Approach the roundabout and exit onto the A696 (signposted A696 The South, Newcastle). Continue forward onto the A696 entering Newcastle upon Tyne. At roundabout take the third exit onto Ponteland Road - A167 (signposted City Centre). At Kenton Bar roundabout take make a left onto Kenton Lane - A191 (signposted Kenton Gosforth). then left again at the roundabout onto A191. Continue along road and at next roundabout take the second exit onto Salters Road - A191. At traffic signals turn right onto High Street - B1318 (signposted Newcastle). At Blue House exit first left onto Jesmond Dene Road - A189 (signposted Ashington). Turn right onto B1600 and continue along the road to traffic signals. Go straight ahead at traffic signals. The Caledonian hotel is approx 200 metres ahead on the left.

BY METRO
The closest Metro station is West Jesmond (0.2 miles). Leave the station and bear right down Lyndhurst Avenue. Go straight onto Sunbury Avenue and turn right onto St Georges Terrace, turn left onto Acorn Road and right onto Osborne Road. The Caledonian Hotel is on the left.

BY RAIL
The closest station is Newcastle Central which is approximately 5 minutes away by taxi
