Bar & Restaurant

tick Outdoor Dining Terrace

Hickory Restaurant
The AA Rosette-awarded Hickory restaurant at the Golf View Hotel serves sophisticated lunch and dinner menus offering a choice of modern dining classics with a focus on locally landed seafood. The elegance of these dishes is reflected in the ambience, created by the coppery crushed velvet intimate seating booths, marble table tops and plush leather chairs. Diners can sit back, relax and take in the panoramic views out over the Moray Firth through the floor-to-ceiling conservatory windows, whilst sipping on a glass of hand-picked wine.

Being right on the north coast of Scotland, seafood features heavily on the menu, with the prawn and langoustine cocktail, West Coast Shellfish linguine and North Sea Bass counted amongst the favourites. Steaks are also a speciality with beef from the chief exec’s Crerar Home Farm Lammermuir Luing herd sometimes featured on the menu. These pedigree top cuts are cooked on the Josper grill, giving them a unique charcoal flavour. Afternoon tea is served in the cosy lounge and the bar stocks over 40 whiskies.

The dress code is casual, so feel free to dress up or down as you like.

Coast Spa at Golf View Hotel Nairn

A soothing space set in a calming coastal environment.
The team personalise your spa experience to suit your needs and wants. Time in the Nairn spa takes you on a journey of reinvigoration, using products created from Hebridean seaweed.

Our indoor pool, outdoor hot tub, sauna, steam room and Stone Bath all add to the relaxing options.

Families with children 12 and under can use the pool between opening – 9:30 am and 5 pm–close.

Hydro

Your Coast Spa journey begins with an invigorating swim in our pool which features views across the Moray Firth. Alternatively, enjoy the aqua jets of the hot tub as your take in the views of the coast from our indoor and outdoor hot tubs.
Children are welcome to use the pool facilities during their stay at scheduled times. From 1st October children 12 years and under can use the pool facilities daily from opening until 9.30 am, and from 5 pm until closing.

Sauna
The heat of the sauna relaxes muscles, soothing your body. We recommend some meditation while using the sauna, being aware of your body and clearing your mind and thoughts to add to the relaxation of the room.

Steam
Recommended pre-treatment as the waves of warm steam allow tension to leave the body, preparing the body for a massage or facial. Time in a steam room has multiple health benefits from improving circulation, reducing stress and lowering blood pressure.

Stone Bath
The first Kurland-Steinbad Stone Bath in Scotland, this heat experience immerses a 400 ℃ stone into ice-cold water. This creates a burst of steam throughout the room, giving a mild room temperature. Often referred to as a volcano sauna, minerals from the stone are released which have many health-promoting effects such as strengthening the immune system, relaxation of the muscles and helping promote a healthy cardiovascular system.
The Stone Bath is perfect for those who wish to control the temperature of their heat experience and those who are more heat-sensitive to a traditional sauna or steam room.

Salt Room
Refocus in the Salt Room, taking time to breathe in the air and clear your mind. Shown to improve many health conditions, the calming and detoxifying benefits support your immune system, increase energy levels and reduce stress.
We recommend enjoying the benefits of the Salt Room post-treatment so you can continue your journey of relaxation and allow the body, mind and soul to continue reaping the benefits of your treatment.

Experience Showers
The multi-sensory experience is designed to invigorate or unwind. Powerful jets can be switched between ice cold or warm while the changing colours provide a full-body experience.

Thermal Experience supplement of £65 per person

Golf View Hotel & Spa is set on beautiful grounds overlooking the beach. The outside terrace provides guests with a lovely vantage point over the garden’s lily pond, two tennis courts to the left, and a large, flat lawn area to the right, which adjoins the Moray Firth sea and a path leading to Nairn marina.

We are happy to provide packed lunches which can be taken out onto the lawn or down to the sandy beach just a few metres beyond.

The grounds are also home to our outdoor hot tub and decking area, privately tucked away by the leisure club, and still, front-facing to take full advantage of the sea views.

Nairn is a beautiful ancient fishing and market town located on the banks of the Moray Firth. Stunning sandy beaches, Championship golf courses and dolphin watching are only some of the reasons why Nairn remains a popular holiday destination for Scots ever since the Victorians started holidaying here in the 18th century.

Staying in Nairn offers an excellent base for exploring the Scottish Highlands, from Culloden to Loch Ness. Dolphins draw wildlife enthusiasts every year on the Moray Firth.

Nairn Highland Games is a big event in the local calendar bringing friends and family together in summer.

The beach at Nairn is one of the most beautiful on the north coast, with stretches of sand that go on for miles and a promenade for short strolls.

Venture to Loch Ness and stop off at Urquhart Castle, have a beer at the Black Isle Brewery or do a spot of shopping in Inverness.
