The Killin Hotel in Killin is situated in one of the most picturesque villages in Scotland in the central Highlands of Perthshire at the west end of Loch Tay; and still within easy driving distance of Edinburgh and Glasgow. The Killin Hotel occupies the site of the old "Streethouse Inn", a 17th Century refreshment stop for the Aberfeldy to Tyndrum coach. This traditional Scottish hotel with character has a well-established reputation due to its staff with their friendly smiles, relaxed service, great Scottish food and comfortable bedrooms.

The Killin Hotel offers 35 comfortably decorated bedrooms including the beautifully romantic Lochay four-poster suite, which overlooks the River Lochay toward the Tarmachan Ridge. This 3-star hotel in Killin also has the choice of five Annex Rooms directly next to the hotel offering a variety of occupancy levels for up to six people in one room.

The Riverview Restaurant at the Killin hotel offers freshly cooked food and caters for all budgets and diets. The chef uses daily fresh fish, seafood and shellfish deliveries along with Perthshire beef and lamb and strives to continually improve the food offering.

The Killin Hotel has 35 en-suite guest bedrooms each representing excellent quality and value.

As well as a selection of twin, double, single and family rooms the Killin Hotel also boasts two romantic four-poster bedrooms - it is perfect for a special anniversary or secret getaway.

Killin Hotel now also has five Annex Rooms directly next to the hotel.

DOGS are permitted in the ANNEX rooms only. There is an additional charge of £7.50 per stay.

Bar & Restaurant

The Killin Hotel boasts a choice of food venues. The renowned Riverview Restaurant and Tartan Suite have fantastic views over the Picturesque River Lochay and the mountains beyond.

In the restaurants, you will experience freshly prepared food on tantalising menus. A large selection of food is served all day long including the hotel's famous afternoon tea with Sparkling Prosecco. The Killin Hotels suppliers are carefully sought.

They have taken time to build strong relationships with their food suppliers and are happy to boast about them. Feast your eyes on some of the dishes on offer This is a sample menu only and changes on a regular basis - half portions of most items available, please just ask.

 Most of the food is freshly cooked to order. At busy times, your meal may take longer to cook and serve. If you are in a hurry, please ask for an approximate waiting time before your order.

One hour North West of Perth and North of Stirling, located in the beautiful village of Killin on the A827. Only an hour and a half from Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Dinner service for residents and non-residents will be from 5.30pm to 8.30pm and booking is required. 

Pet Friendly

When bringing a dog with you to stay at the hotel, please note that you may be allocated one of the Annex bedrooms located directly next to the hotel. Although please note all rooms at the Killin Hotel are Dog Friendly.

Room Allocation
Double or Twin Standard Room. This room will be allocated in either the main hotel or in the annex building. You will automatically be allocated a Double Room any requests for Twin Rooms or in a specific area of the hotel will be on a request basis and cannot always be guaranteed.

Killin is not only a great central location for activities and outdoor pursuits, but it is also one of those parts of Scotland that seems to have something for everyone - simply a lovely part of the world to spend a day or a week in pursuit of the great outdoors.

If you want something relaxed and leisurely, you can explore the great outdoors on board a 4x4, by bicycle or by foot. You can watch the amazing wildlife, play a round of golf, enjoy the stunning scenery or visit a distillery for a wee dram. For something more heart-pumping, you can test your skills at off-road driving and put a Land Rover to the test by driving it over rough terrain and steep, slippery gradients.

Fishing / Boat Hire - Starting at the river Lochay at Killin Hotel, just a 5-minute river journey to Loch Tay, Loch Tay Fish 'N' Trips offer boat hire, guided boat trips or full ghillie fishing.

Golf - From the scenic 9-hole course in Killin itself to the more famous Gleneagles, there are several golf courses within easy driving distance including Killin Golf Club.

Walking - Climbing - Scotland is a walkers’ paradise. The spectacular scenery, rugged landscapes and steep mountains call out to be explored and conquered. There are many local walks from Killin, up a gentle mountain, through picturesque glens, or along the old railway track to the head of Loch Tay. Only a few minute's drive takes you to the Tarmachan and Ben Lawers mountain ranges for the more serious hillwalker. Many Munro’s are within easy reach of Killin.
