Lumley the practical meets the unusual and the historical meets the present – ensuring a stay that you will never forget.

This English Castle with accommodation features the exclusive, King James Suite. This includes a magnificent 20ft high four-poster Queen Anne Bed and boasts its own reception room, en-suite bathroom and Jacuzzi with views over the surrounding parkland.

The Courtyard Bedrooms are located immediately adjacent to the Castle. Originally the stable block of the Castle, the Courtyard has been stylishly converted, each furnished to a high standard.
As in all of the Lumley Hotels bedrooms, you will find full en-suite facilities, flat screen TV, radio, direct-dial telephone, complimentary internet access, trouser press, tea and coffee making facilities, hospitality tray and hairdryer.

The Castle Mews Bedrooms are located immediately adjacent to the Courtyard. Built-in 2006, these bedrooms are stylishly furnished to a high standard.

The Feature bedrooms located in the Castle, Courtyard and Castle Mews give you the opportunity to make your stay extra special. Many of the rooms have four poster beds, feature baths and little surprises such as your bathroom behind the wardrobe door! Each room is uniquely designed.

The elegant setting and superb food on offer in our award-winning Black Knight Restaurant make it a popular choice for diners from far and wide. Subtle lighting, lavish furnishings, and unobtrusive yet attentive service makes the Black Knight Restaurant truly memorable. The menu offers classical dishes with an original twist.

Diners can choose from the A la Carte menu and enjoy an extensive selection of fine wines to complement their meal.

A new À la carte menu is launched four times throughout the year, with exquisite courses selected to best match each season.
