The accommodation mix at the Pine Trees hotel comprises 29 uniquely designed en-suite bedrooms ranging from single, double and twin rooms to two four-poster rooms one of which is the luxurious Molyneux Suite.
All bedrooms feature toiletries and well as complimentary tea & coffee-making facilities. There are no ground floor rooms and no lift.

As well as standard single, double and twin rooms the Pine Tree also offers:

Annexe Standard Double Rooms
These 2 rooms are on the ground floor with easy access and are just a short walk from the main building. They feature oak floors and doors, underfloor heating, walk-in wardrobes and modern en suite showerbaths. There is a sofa in each room for comfy seating and there is also a lounge area in the Annexe. Free Wi-Fi is also available. 

Annexe Superior Double Room
There is only one of this room type and this is a special room. Extra large room with oak flooring and underfloor heating, walk-in wardrobe and walk-in dressing room, Bathroom with separate bath and shower cubicle, Sky TV, Free Wi-Fi, sofa bed, sofas, and french windows to the garden. Can be used as a family room on request.

Sofa beds are charged at £35.00 each with Bed & breakfast if they are required.

Coach House Standard Suites
There are 4 standard suites each with a bedroom and a separate sitting room with en-suite shower rooms. Each room has a dedicated parking space and is situated approx 50 metres from the main building.

Coach House Superior Suites
There are 2 superior double or twin suites on the ground floor each with a bedroom and a separate sitting room with en-suite shower rooms. Each room has a dedicated parking space and is situated approx 50 metres from the main building.

Superior Double Rooms
1 x either 5' or 6' double bed with en suite shower facilities & toiletries; complimentary tea & coffee making facilities & a good seating area. 2 of our superior double rooms are situated on the second floor and one has a balcony. All other superior rooms are on the first floor.

Superior Twin Rooms
All Superior twin rooms are situated on the first floor. Larger rooms than standard rooms with more seating area and better views.

Molyneux Suite
Extra large room with a divide between the bedroom area and the large sitting room area. 4 poster bed, Music system with iPod dock, 2 x TVs, best available views from the hotel.

With many of the tables in the Garden Restaurant overlooking the gardens, guests are treated to a charming setting from which to enjoy their meal. The team of chefs make the most of Scotland’s rich natural larder to create tantalising menus.

Guests' favourites include the sumptuous local fish, lamb or game, all served with delicious fresh vegetables. Dishes such as the haggis tartlet or the Pigeon in Sherry Sauce encourage more adventurous palates. The menu reflects a wealth of Scottish provender, including Orkney Herring, Arran Mustards and cheese from the Isle of Mull to name a few.

After a day exploring the Scottish countryside, or an enjoyable meal in the Garden restaurant, you are warmly invited to unwind in the bar or by the cosy log fire in the lounge and sample some of the finest Scotch single malt whiskies.

Festive times bring live Scottish entertainment and the ceilidh at New Year is always superb fun. But mostly, the bar is simply the place where guests are greeted with a warm welcome and the chance to relax over a quiet drink.

 

Location & Directions

Directions to Pine Tree Hotel in Pitlochry

By Road
From Glasgow: Follow the M8/A80 which changes to the M9.Then take the A9 to Perth, follow the Perth by-pass signs to Inverness and continue on the A9. Take the signposted exit to Pitlochry and drive through the main street, Atholl Road, and at the north end of town past all the shops, you will see a turn on your right called Larchwood Road. Turn into Larchwood Road and at the top of the hill, the road bears round to the left. Keep going left and you will see the white entrance gates for the hotel. Allow an hour and a half for your journey.

From Edinburgh: Head north over the Forth Road Bridge. Follow the M90 to Perth, before taking the A9 to Pitlochry. The journey will take about an hour and twenty minutes.

From Dundee: Follow the signs for Perth and Edinburgh. Take the A85 to Perth, and then select the A9 for Pitlochry. Allow about an hour for your journey.

From Aberdeen: Follow the A96 towards Inverness, before joining the A9 to Pitlochry. The exit from the A9 brings you into Atholl Road. Take the first road on your left after passing the Claymore Hotel and Westlands Hotel. This is Larchwood Road, and at the top of the hill, follow the bend to the left and you will see the gates for Pine Trees Hotel. Your journey will take around two and a half hours.

By Rail

By Air
Pitlochry is comfortably reached from three of Scotland’s principal airports, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness, and car hire is widely available.
