An imposing, red sandstone, Spanish baroque-style building, it houses international art and natural history collections. Its multiple galleries feature interactive displays.

On the opposite bank of the River Clyde, a five-minute walk from the hotel across Bell’s Bridge is the Glasgow Science Centre. It occupies three gleaming titanium buildings: the 127-metre-high Glasgow Tower, an IMAX cinema, and the crescent-shaped Science Mall.
