Bar & Restaurant

PAGODAS RESTAURANT
The newly stripped back restaurant is now a casual affair. Named after the iconic Scottish whisky distillery roof architecture, you’ll find a menu that is served in both Pagodas and Toots with Mix ’n’ Match dishes, a choice of seasonal produce as well as 21-day aged steaks including a roast to share.

Seating up to 22 diners, the restaurant has some unique and striking abstract artwork depicting copperwork as a nod to the spirit stills.

TOOTS CAFE BAR & BISTRO
An ancestor of the hotel owners, Ernest Forsyth, was known almost universally as Toot.

Toot ran the A. Forsyth and Son copperworks business, later to become Forsyths: a major employer in Rothes that designs and manufactures equipment for the global oil and gas and alcoholic beverage sectors, notably copper stills for the whisky industry.

In the café bar that bears his name, visitors and local residents alike can relax in informal surroundings – complete with a locally hand-crafted, copper sink for adding water to your whisky.

Here you can enjoy a coffee in the mornings or choose dishes from the new menu for lunch or dinner which you’ll also find is also served in Pagodas.

THE SPIRIT SAFE
Complete with its own spirit safe made right next door at Forsyths, this bar is the ideal intimate location for pre-dinner drinks and delicious appetisers.

The bar, featuring miniature copper replicas of Scottish whisky stills using Forysth’s unrivalled industry knowledge, is home to more than 500 different whiskies – and growing.

From rare and limited releases to your favourite fine spirits, our expertly trained team are happy to recommend a dram, and help you compare tasting notes.

You can even sample the Station Hotel’s own limited edition 24-year-old single cask whisky, produced at the Speyside Distillery in Kingussie using Forsyths stills, and finished in a sherry butt. The high quality spirit commemorates 125 years since family member Alexander Forsyth started work as a coppersmith.

You can also choose from a wide selection of expertly mixed classic and contemporary cocktails. We also serve the delicious Afternoon Teas here where the selection of sandwiches, pastries and scones on offer are homemade.
