The Aberdour Hotel in Aberdour started life as a 17th-century coaching inn and enjoys a peaceful location on the North shore of the Firth of Forth. This 3-star family-run hotel in the coastal village of Aberdour has been tastefully converted, yet still retains some of its original features and character.

Access to Scotland’s capital city Edinburgh is easy from the Aberdour Hotel as it can be reached in just 35 minutes by car or train. The M90 motorway is 10 minutes away which leads to the scenic Scottish Highlands or picturesque St Andrews.

Each of the 16 bedrooms at the Aberdour Hotel has ensuite facilities, tea/coffee making facilities, and digital tv and most have free wifi internet access. There are also superior rooms located in the former stable block and these have wheelchair access.

Superior Rooms
The superior double rooms situated in the Stable Block all have super king-size beds, a comfortable leather sofa and a coffee table. One of these rooms also features a remote control for real flame fire. Two of these rooms are at ground level providing easy access for disabled guests.

Family Room
The comfortable family room is equipped with 1 double and 2 single beds and is perfect for a family or group travelling together.

Edinburgh Zoo is less than half an hour away where giant Pandas can be seen. St Andrew's world-famous golf club is less than an hour away which makes for a great day out. Murrayfield Stadium, the home of Scottish Rugby is a short trip across the Firth of Forth.

Knockhill Racing Circuit hosts many high-profile events such as Superbikes and Touring Cars.

You can also cross the world-famous Forth Bridges and take a boat trip to Inchcolm island or proceed further to Edinburgh Castle. All three of these attractions are within thirty minutes of travel time.

The National Museum of Scotland, which is 37 minutes away, allows you to explore the diversity of the natural world, world cultures, art and design, science and technology and Scottish history all under one roof at this popular location.

It only takes 15 minutes to get to Deep Sea World which is one of Scotland’s premier attractions and is located under the picturesque Forth Rail Bridge in the quaint village of North Queensferry. It offers fun for all the family no matter their age and an unforgettable insight into marine life.

The Falkirk Wheel (46 minutes travel time), which links the Forth and Clyde canals, is the world’s only rotating boat lift where a variety of activities are on offer for both children and adults.
