Very relaxing stay. Had lovely stay here. Staf very friendly & helpful. Nice meal in the restaurant & good breakfast. Very comfortable beds & the outdoor areas are lovely to walk round. Lots of nice places to visit close by including NT Rufford Old Hall, well worth a visit.

Fantastic Stay with Exceptional Service We had a wonderful stay with some off bits but the highlight was the food that was delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxing. A special mention to Linesh, who ensured everything ran smoothly and made us feel truly welcome. Certainly would be coming back.

We had a lovely stay, staff were very helpful & polite, room was clean & had everything we needed. We ate in the bar area before the event & food was amazing. Drinks were reasonably priced for a hotel. We’ll definitely be returning & make use of the spa next time

Would definitely stay again. We stayed overnight in the two bedroom apartment. The beds are huge and super soft. The hotel is undergoing a renovation but the main hotel and grounds are very nice. I suffer with osteoarthritis in my knee and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was accessible and stress free.

Excellent stay, friendly hard working staff. Excellent food. The hotel has been going through a few changes recently, the staff are working hard to make this a superb place to stay. The staff are friendly and can't do enough for you, the food is superb and the place has a nice atmosphere, all in all a good place to visit.

First time we stayed here (November 2023), had a spacious Chalet at the back, which was great for privacy, beds are comfortable, rooms/bathrooms immaculately clean and sufficiently stocked. Thank you to all the staff who were lovely including, but not limited to; Binila at reception for sorting us another night, Domonic at the bar for keeping us entertained, Molly in the kitchen for "those eggs" ;) Special mention to Debbie for the professional manner in which she dealt with some horrid, rowdy, nasty guests. (I couldn't have bit my tongue through that). Hotel is a thoroughly welcoming place and we had a delightful stay, will definitely be back. It's a little off the beaten track so you do really need to have a car, but that's literally it's only downfall. Our second time visiting here (December) and yet again a top notch break away for us, everything perfect, room great, staff amazing as ever, special mentions/thanks to the new operations manager Peter, for taking the time to chat with us, listen to our praises and give us information on future plans and upgrades for the place, Debbie on reception for sorting us an extra night (this is becoming a pattern now us staying on extra time lol). Tom at dinner/breakfast/bar for being his chirpy self and putting up with my singing haha, oh and of course can't forget the wonderful Molly in the kitchen at breakfast and "those eggs" ;) (she poaches like a boss).

Stayed in a chalet for one night during Xmas break. Accommodation was basic but adequate. Bathroom was clean and water was hot. Two double beds were clean and comfortable. The room was warm and had a tv on wall. Tea and coffee making facilities and comfy chairs and table.

Room in need of refurbishment. Small towel rail in a large bathroom didn’t give out much heat. Had to be careful with shower as water easily went on the floor. Old heaters in bedroom had to be adjusted to get a decent heat from them Lamp shades and wall had lots of dust on them Floor near side of bed was wet as if it had been recently mopped Afternoon tea was good but as more people arrived there weren’t enough staff to cope so big queues at the bar. Jane was very accommodating but seemed to be run off her feet Dinner was excellent as was the breakfast Leisure facilities were good I would probably stay here again if I got a good deal but maybe try inside the hotel rather than the village complex

We had a night here on way home from Scotland . Excellent hotel . Very clean efficient pleasant staf very smart . Dinner was very good and so was breakfast . We were in a alow at the back of the hotel which was very nice and well equipped

Was greeted by the usual happy helpful staff who are only to pleased to help What a difference it makes entering a hotel where the staff actually smile and are helpful Used the swimming pool jacuzzi etc all excellent Room was in main hotel and I got a free upgrade. Thank you It was clean and modern and very spacious. I had a dinner in the bar area and the food was excellent Again happy smiling staff only to happy to help The food was cooked by one of the Chefs Jamie. The carbonara was excellent fresh home cooked food piping hot really good Overall great hotel with friendly staff.
