Hotel is going through some refurbishment which is required . Good points warm and cosy food ok bad points some noise early morning not clean in communal areas bar staff not friendly and refused a tail- so just went to room was ok for a quick night away Breakfast delayed when other stuff was ready was busy

Was advised on booking that lift not working but told room allocated was on 1st floor however on arrival told room on second floor, not ideal as hubby has lung condition. Started making way upstairs only to be met by dust sheets and painter on stairs had to trip over dust sheets while carrying case to our room NOT SAFE . Dinner booked but no staff to seat us and waited over 15 minutes to be served before ordering ourself from the bar was another 20 mins before meal came out

First class hotel for a quiet midweek break. Although I think we should have been informed of the ongoing work taking place, although the noise was minimal. Also not informed of the lift being out of order for the duration of our stay

As 6 old buftie siblings [one unable to join us this time] we go away twice a year together. We always have a fabulous time and the hotel/staff/food etc is always excellent, much better than any of us could make so we appreciate it. This is my first complaint ever, the eton mess had no meringue, thats what you eat it for. May just have run out, cetrtainly not a reason to complain, BUT

This was our second time staying at this hotel and we were extremely disappointed. The bedroom window had been left open, meaning the room was cold upon arrival, due it it being high roofs it took forever to heat, even with thermostat up high, the radiator was luck warm and bedroom was still cold, especially middle of November. The bed was horrendous, it was like sleeping on a concrete slab and so uncomfortable. The room was very dated and needed some serious renovations. Upon departure, we weren't even asked how our stay was, which was disappointing. We are looking at different hotels in the area now for our next annual trip as we will sadly not return back to the Hydro.

Staff were really nice, great location to walk into town. Really enjoyed breakfast (didn't have dinner). Used the pool - it was clean and nice to use. The building is lovely but inside is really dated, the room and public areas are in desperate need of a refurb. Overall we had a good stay but not sure we would go back unless it was refurbished.

Room was appalling tills breaking off in bathroom, mould on the bathroom roof, carpet not fitted correctly and lifting up, the windows looked put on the the wall of the building and very small, had breakfast in morning can not fault the food was excellent but sadly we will not be back to this hotel if it was more than one night i defiantly would of left and went somewhere else

Enjoyed a lovely stay at Pitlochry Hydro. Comfortable bedroom, tasty food and friendly and efficient staff. Great swimming pool too. Super value for money, would certainly recommend to family and friends.

Hotel older building, but comfortable, clean and good food. Staff friendly and professional. Pool, sauna and hot tub all very good. Second night's meal was not included in our deal however was very reasonable priced. RHG

Brilliant stay at the Hydro staff very friendly our room was superb breakfast buffet style kept well stocked and good selection, pool was good and sauna was good to chill

We had an overnight stay at Pitlochry Hydro Hotel last Thursday prior to playing golf on the Friday. Hotel room was a very good size and bed was very comfortable. Room had tea making facilities. We did not have an evening meal at the hotel and instead walked down hill into town ( 10 mins) and enjoyed a meal at the Old Mill Inn. Breakfast next morning was a buffet but had everything to set us up for a challenging round of golf on the picturesque local course.
