Hotel is a bit tired but we had a lovely room overlooking harbour food was really nice just need more staff staf worked very hard

Stopped recently for a midweek break. Hotel looks tired in the restaurant and around the corridors but the room was fine with everything you would expect. Location is superb and I guess that is what you pay for. A coach tour were stopping at the same time. By 08:30 it looked like a plague of locusts had descended on the breakfast buffet. However once it was safe to do so the breakfast crew came out of hiding, restored order and replenished. Dinner was lovely with everything freshly cooked. The big no no for me was that they allowed dogs in the restaurant (not service dogs either) One woman even had it on her lap allowing the thing to get its snout on the table. Yeuch! unhygienic and unpleasant. I just hope that table and chairs had a deep cleanse before being used again. Dogs in areas where food is served = totally unacceptable.

Very friendly & accommodating front desk staff. Rooms were clean and fairly well equipped. Nice facility and great view from the balcony room (did 1 night in it). Hotel & town dog friendly.

Location is superb, and able to take dog was a bonus.
