Very good refurbishment and rebranding -great restaurant and bar. Excellent room. Excellent reception from Priya. Excellent staff everywhere. Totally different and way better than before. Car parking gone up to £20/day - seems a bit excessive to me.

Very close to Southhampton Cruise Terminal but for our one night stay it offered a well priced and good restaurant, good size room that was clean and quiet with friendly and helpful staff. Good buffet style breakfast. If you wanted to be close to town or shops it’s a decent 10 minute walk but if you want to be ready for a cruise - perfect location.

Very comfortable beds and a great night's sleep pre cruise. Can recommend relaxing here the day before. Breakfast choice amazing. Have a walk across the road to the old town. Some amazing medieval buildings.Thanks to the lovely staff. We will be back !

Arrived to find that they couldn’t locate our reservation. Profuse apologies and we were invited to go to the bar for a complimentary drink each whilst they sorted the problem out. Room was then sorted,, restaurant reservation made for us so we weren’t inconvenienced and an excellent meal. Was granted late checkout which was useful – lovely room and perfect location for cruise terminal. Special mention to Jose – Portuguese guy on reception who seemed to be in charge and was extremely helpful and polite.

My first cruise and my first visit to the area staying overnight. This hotel is lovely as its recently been refurbished and they are just finishing a couple bits outside. From the off the staff have been really friendly and helpful and the amenities I've seen are top class. My room was well equipped with also lots of plug sockets, very impressive.

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times previously and it has suited us , as we stay overnight prior to boarding a cruise. Stayed last night and the new refurb was impressive - with new seating and bar areas, as well as the rooms. Had a great night sleep, ideal breakfast and a great start to our holiday . Big shout out to reception staff - excellent customer service when you consider the footfall with 5 cruise ships in dock this weekend . Will certainly stay again

Conveniently situated nearby West Quay for shopping, food and meeting up with nearby family. An impressive lobby, very polite & helpful staff, clean room with a view out to the dock.

Our room was lovely and made amazing by the view we had over looking the sea. Breakfast was lovely and all staff were lovely and helpful. We only stayed one night and will book again as enjoyed our stay so much. Thank you holiday inn for a great weekend.

We just stayed one night and enjoyed the welcoming attitude of the staff especially Jose on reception and also the manager in the breakfast area. She asked how everything was and even made us both a coffee. That was a nice touch we felt.

We stayed at hotel pre-cruise. I love the location and views of ships. The room was nicely decorated, clean and had comfortable beds. The restaurant was unfortunately not great for some. Inexperienced staff, long waits. Thankfully we were in no hurry, so didn't affect our stay

Great hotel near the terminal for a stay over before you head off to the cruise .Rooms were big and well equipped and food was fantastic both in the morning and evening .The hotel charge for parking which is the only draw back

Executive Sea View room chosen for its location over looking the cruise ship terminal. Breakfast had lots of variety to choose from and well stocked self service counters.
