A good variety of choice for breakfast including cooked. Dinner had interesting starters and original mains. The restaurant was popular with locals. The hotel is close to the pedestrian entrance to Burghley house. Turn left for the Bottle lodges and the mile walk through the glorious park to Burghley House. Turn right and right again if you are driving.

Had a night away at the Bull and Swan Stamford! Would really recommend this place. the room was great very spacious, we were upgraded when we arrived which was a nice touch! The food was great, we had a Sunday lunch and the breakfast was delicious. Great location right near to Burghley house and park.

Lovely hotel, nice room, good breakfast. They couldn’t squeeze us in for dinner but to be fair we hadn’t booked. They managed to then get us in at the sister hotel just up the road. If/when we go back to Stamford we’ll definitely look to stay here.

An easy walk into Stamford and good access to Burghley House. The room was clean and spacious. The property had some character and history. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast was good with a fair variety of options - even for a GF diet, although the pancakes were overcooked and the first cooked breakfast was not piping hot - this was remedied without a further problem.

So convenient for visiting the town and Burghley House. very old and quaint so some of the rooms were not how you would design them if you were starting from scratch. we had three rooms and they were quirky but comfortable. The staff couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating

Friendly and welcoming staff introduced us to a quirky, spacious room in an ancient building a short walk from the town centre and a very short walk from the grounds of Burghley, which were lovely for a Sunday stroll. We were above the bar (room 5) so sometimes a bit noisy but it is a pub so part of the deal. Bed creaky but very comfortable. Bathroom well equipped with a fantastic rainfall shower head, tons of and luxury toiletries. The elderflower spirit nightcap (or afternoon tipple!) was a nice touch. Breakfast was excellent - awards well-deserved.
