A very warm welcome started our 2 night break. Liqueur was a delightful touch.. A comfortable, cosy room although bathroom very basic . Standard of housekeeping very good. Staff were very pleasant . one member only on breakfast service but she certainly knew how to look after the guest. A very good value break. Thank you .

Very friendly service. We stayed at Fisher’s because we were going to Pitlochry Festival Theatre. Very helpful shuttle service from hotel to theatre.

Did not get dram on arrival and when checking out I was not offered an Invoice in relation to our stay, only the balance to be paid. In retrospect I should have requested an Invoice to ensure discounts on meals where applied.

Booked using my voucher, value £99 and paid an additional £106 for an upgraded room and parking. This hotel is sited as 4 star. It is not 4 star, not by a long shot. We were directed to a room on the third floor. As we left the reception area and approached the third floor it was clear to see the hotel was run down witkempt hallways and dirty paint work. There was some areas covered in builders materials as renovation work is being undertaken. Our first room was not clean. Dubious white marks on very old ter cushions. Hairs all over the carpet, it did not appear to be hoovered. The bed had a huge dip in the middle and the furniture was old and tired. The curtains had stains on them and the windows had greasy marks. The bathroom on surface level looked clean but was old dated with mould in areas, there was a distinct musty smell. I returned to reception and requested a refund. We were offered an alternate room on the first floor. On our first impression, this room looked better and I was persuaded by my partner to stay. Unfortunately after settling into the room, we discovered a bathroom with bath taps that were impossible to turn on / off. Mould and rust around the bath. The bath panel was so badly water damaged it was rotten with a gaping hole The walls in the bathroom needed to be painted, badly marked. The bed was firm and the sheets clean. The curtain pole was held together with electric tape. There was no privacy net on the large window. The TV worked well, however it was very large and placed in front of the dressing table mirror. Very bizarre set up. The building is old and the room floor is on a slope. The furniture was stacked together in a row, to avoid it tipping over. Breakfast was in a busy large ballroom hall, you had to navigate past builders working to get there. The breakfast was adequate, buffet style. Overall this hotel is not as advertised. I discussed the rating and website advertisement with the reception staff. The dated 4 star award from the Scottish Tourist board is out of date and no longer applicable. I would struggle to grade this establishment 1 star. It resembled a very old and tired care home. To pay double our voucher for an upgrade to be be put in the worst room in the hotel, closely followed by what they deemed a better room that had a hoovered carpet and less sunken bed with the rest being an utter disgrace is not acceptable. I only wish we had walked out after being sent to our second room, we would have no doubt lost our voucher used for part payment if we had. I therefore do not recommend this hotel. The website for this hotel is not a reflection of what you get. It is used for coach parties of elderly customers. Appalling experience. Couldn’t wait to get out of the hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised by my first visit to Fishers. Reception staff were really helpful and the room was bright with a lovely view out the back. A little warm but there was a heatwave so the provided fan helped a little and we don’t have many days like that! Sadly the main bar staff were not so welcoming which was a shame so we took our custom elsewhere. Good choice for breakfast, most tastes are catered to. All in, I would recommend and return.

We last stayed in Fishers Hotel 4 years ago, we enjoyed it so much that we returned for DBB recently. The hotel and garden look like they have been done up since our last visit… really lovely. The staff are very welcoming and professional, plus the dinner we had (£40 allowance pp), was amongst the best we have ever had! We both said that every mouthful was a taste sensation! We hope our compliments reached the chef/s. Pitlochry is an attractive, thriving town with a great atmosphere… it was the perfect night away. To be done again!

The hotel decor was a little dated and tired. Our room needed modernised. Definitely not a 4 star hotel.

We had a lovely stay, room was good, but needs blackout curtains as blinds don’t keep out enough daylight. Also pillows too hard and a summer duvet would have been better. Bathroom small but a great walk in shower. Food at breakfast was good but was lukewarm. I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and I would definitely stay again. The staff at check in and check out were amazing, a 10 out of 10 for them.

Just returned from an overnight stay at Fishers Hotel Pitlochry. The staff were very friendly. I requested an accessible room as I have walking difficulties. The room itself had a very uneven floor which made it difficult to walk about in. The walls are very thin you can hear other guests talking and TVs playing in other rooms. The bathroom was dreadful. No space for toiletries or anywhere to hang a towel at the wash-hand basin. The thermostatic controller on the shower was broken and it was impossible to regulate the shower temperature and the water was unbearably hot. There were holes all over the tiles where previous fitments have been removed and not replaced.

We were given a hotel break voucher for my husband's 70th birthday and booked into the Fishers hotel. I asked for a garden view but was very disappointed to find our view was roof tops and bins. I don't usually complain but I did this time and was given the best room on the ground floor, it even had a patio with table and chairs. Shame we weren't given that room in the first place but the remainder of our stay was good.

Disappointed the complimentary wine was only available in red and couldn't be exchanged. Buffet breakfast was very nice but cooked items got cold when left at the table to get coffee. Tea and coffee should be served at the table to eliminate this.

Our gift voucher was handed over to reception on booking in, it was for bed, breakfast and a bottle of wine in our room. We were told we would receive complimentary drinks and assumed they were instead of the wine as there was none in our room. We never received either. We were not given anything to hand over to exchange for our drinks, disappointed as not everyone feels confident in asking for something which should have been included in our gift voucher.
