Location was very good for access to the New Forest. Buffet breakfast was good and there appeared to be many families with young children on the Easter break. Staff were very helpful.

We were looking for a hotel that was affordable, dog friendly and near Glen Eyre halls of residence. This hotel met all conditions. A significant step above budget options but at a similar price range. It was very quiet despite being close to busy road. It felt like a bargain

I have stayed here several times: my experiences have always been positive. Given the situation over the last few years the staff have managed very well. Afternoon Tea is excellent and the hotel continues to provide Room Service. The hotel has Ground Floor rooms if you have any mobility difficulties. The hotel is a little way out of Southampton and I feel a car is needed. The hotel charges for overnight parking.There are good rates for parking if you are going on a cruise. All staff work very hard; they are exceptional with their young guests.

We had to overnight due to aeroplane flight cancellation. Good hotel straightforward check-in polite staff. The bedroom was more than adequate. Double bed huge and very comfortable. Very very clean. High standards. Dinner limited menu but very good. Service was relatively quick. Breakfast buffet style the complete range of full English and vegetarian options. The hotel is very corporate that serves the purpose it was designed for. Worth using for overnight stay

We booked this hotel as we have always experienced great service and top quality at other Doubletree hotels. We specifically chose the hotel for our trip to Peppa Pig World as it was a short (15-20 minute) drive away from the park. Upon arrival, my two children (4 and 2) were given little children activity bags which contained some stickers, crayons and cards to colour. They were over the moon! We booked a king suite with an additional sofa bed which was perfect, modern, very clean - we had no complaints. As the hotel had a restaurant on site and advertised as child friendly, we decided to book dinner for that night and breakfast for the following morning. We went down for dinner to be given two dinner menus and to my surprise when asked for a menu for children, we were told they ‘do not have a children's menu’. They did however offer an option for children as either goujons and chips or pizza. I was quite shocked there was no dedicated childrens menu and neither of my children were keen to eat them. We were slightly hesitant about breakfast after the poor dinner experience but it was absolutely fantastic. There was a good choice of cooked food, along with toast, pastries, cereals and fruits. Definitely recommend the breakfast, children under 5 eat free too. I mentioned the limited children's menu upon checkout and was apologised to profusely and advised the feedback would be treated seriously. Hotel would have got a 5 star review except for the menu issue.
