Our stay at Glenskirlie Castle Hotel was wonderful- beautiful venue, lovely bedroom with a great view, en-suite, bottle of wine on arrival, friendly and helpful staff, delicious dinner and excellent breakfast with very good service. First class, highly recommend.

Hotel setting was lovely. Room was well appointed and bed was super comfortable. Dinner was delicious and staff were very attentive. Cooked breakfast was excellent but the continental selection was a bit lacking. No muesli or granola.

Overall hotel looked ok from outside,but room that we stayed in was a bit run down. Crack on bathroom tiles,crack on mirror in bathroom also signs of mould in bathroom. Found crisps on room floor and room could have been cleaner.

We received a very warm welcome from a . receptionist and were allocated an amazing room (115) which consisted of separate bedroom/sitting , dressing and bathroom .All areas of the hotel are maintained to high standards .Bar prices are sensibly priced .Dinner in the restaurant is freshly prepared to order served piping hot and was delicious. Likewise breakfast is individually prepared to order and served at the table. All staff were friendly and attentive. First class car parking. We really enjoyed our short stay at Glenskirlie and will be delighted to return. Highly recommended

My partner and stayed in the Belle Amour suite and both really enjoyed it. The suite was lovely with a very comfy bed. The only thing that let it down for me a bit was that the whirlpool bath wasn’t as powerful as I thought it would be and one or two of the jets weren’t working. The light switches were akin to something out the Crystal Maze as they need to be on in certain combinations in order to get the various lights in the room to come on. The staff we met during our stay were all very friendly and professional, they are a credit to the hotel. The only thing is that it seemed somewhat understaffed as the two girls covering the restaurant also had to cover the bar so wait times were being affected. My partner and I went for a couple of drinks in the bar after dinner and had to wait a while before being served due to the aforementioned. The food in the restaurant was really nice and the portions were generous, we both enjoyed our meal. Overall we were very happy with our stay and will be back at some point in the future.

Hotel lovely. Staff so friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and plentiful. Hotel is in a really good position for visiting Falkirk and/or Stirling. Ample tea, coffee and biscuits in the sweetest china cups in the room. Definitely a gem

Stayed at Glenskirlie with my partner as a special treat and booked one of the Castle Suites. Seemed very quiet for a weekend. First impressions were good, but my OH is a bit of a hotel inspector. There was quite a lot of dust under the bed and dining table. We later found that the room had been used for a wedding the day before. This may also explain the hair and hatpins we found on the floor. We ate in the hotel restaurant as we were on a DBB deal. The menu could definitely do with a revamp. Our local pub has a better menu. After dinner we went to the bar for a drink. The hotel was quiet with only another 4 or 5 people around. The young lad who served us was great though, and looked after us. His tails were amazing. Can definitely recommend his Cherry Bakewell Tart tail. We went back to the room and started to run a bath to chill out. This is when things started to go downhill. The bath tap was working, but its cover and plug mechanism weren't. Also, the whirlpool jets were not working. I went to reception as the phone number wasn't working, and a maintenance person/night porter came to the room. He told us that it had been fine the night before, as he had filled the bath for the happy couple to use. I explained that part of the reason I had booked the castle suite was because of the whirlpool bath feature. We were then given the option to move rooms to the other suite, or to have a couple of bath robes brought up for us and be able to use the bath in the other suite. We chose to move rooms. Our second room was almost identical, but for the colour. Some of the wallpaper looked a bit tired. We both had a cooked Scottish breakfast in the morning. All good with that. On checking out, we were told we should have been informed about the "fault" with the bathtub. Overall, a nice stay, but the cleanliness of the first room could have been better, and the choice of food in the restaurant could be improved.

A little gem in a rather non-descript area, but well placed for visiting the Kelpies, Bannockburn, Culross etc. Imaginatively furnished and decorated, comfortable room and well-appointed bathroom. Lovely Molton Brown toiletries! Peaceful and pretty garden area. Food was excellent, good choice and very well cooked. All the staff were welcoming, personable and helpful. Very good value for money.

Our first stay at this hotel. We had the honeymoon suite as an anniversary treat. Not sure I would return. Do t get me wrong, the hotel is nice, service was great and the food was lovely. Room was quite tired and could do with a refurb, little things, bulbs not working, handles off drawers, blue tack and drawing pins in walls Could do with a bigger TV. Very stingy on toiletries, one shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, toilet roll. No fridge. Kettle on top of a chest of drawers. Two tiny wee cups. No bin in the bedroom area. Attention to detail not the best.
