The Dunes Hotel, Barrow in Furness

Overall a lovely place, rooms were very nice and modern-ish, bed was massive and very comfy, shower a bit small, nowhere to put your shower gel etc. Hairdryer, iron and board supplied there’s even a small fridge in the wardrobe. Bottled water,tea and coffee supplied. Had dinner both nights, food was delicious and reasonably priced, Cooked buffet breakfast, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, pastries. All the staff were very pleasant and hard working. Now for the down side which is easily rectified with more staff as they were spread very thin, and seem to be constantly multitasking. On arrival we waited in reception at least 15 mins without seeing a sole eventually went looking for someone and were dealt with immediately, following morning took our coffee out to the terrace went out for the day came back 3.30 ordered a drink went out to the terrace, back to change for dinner at 6.30 noticed not only were our afternoon glasses still outside but so were the coffee cups from the morning time. loads of wasps, maybe emptying the bin more often and actually moving it away from the tables would be a good idea. Bit isolated so you do need a car but lovely spot, lovely hotel and lovely staff. YES I would stay here again.

Good hotel, very dog friendly. Good evening menu and buffet breakfast serving hot and cold food. My only little fault is they don't have glasses for water in the rooms.

We decided to book this hotel for family gathering. We had wonderful time. Excellent attentive service, good food, great rooms. Staff working extremly hard! It is dog friendly, so next time we will bring our dog with us. Super location. Ditelly we will be back !

The room was lovely I had a couple of issues like there weren’t any hangers and no soap in the bathroom. But the receptionist sort it out straight away with a very pleasant smile. The room was very comfortable and the shower was ok as well. The food in the restaurant was really nice and very large portions. The staff were excellent.

The staff were great from the beginning! They went the extra mile to ensure our stay was special, accommodating additional requests we had without questions. Food was tasty, and it was good value for money with the service being friendly and fast. The room was exactly as described. The downstairs was nicely decorated, g a lovely atmosphere to relax with a drink at night after a long day enjoying the surroundings. Well, it's worth a visit.
