Seamill House Hotel, West Kilbride

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. We (group of 4 friends staying in 2 twin rooms for 1 night) enjoyed and afternoon tea in the 1st floor restuarant before checking in. Food was very nice, although we felt we would have preferred more sandwiches and less sweet treats - just a personal preference. The rooms are very spacious with a modern decor and spacious bathroom with large walk-in double shower & plenty shelf space next to the sink for toiletries. We were pleasantly surprised to find a fridge in the rooms, which had a bottle of water and a bottle of milk (a nice touch rather than cartons of UHT milk for teas/coffees). There was a coffee machine & pods as well as the usual kettle and selection of teabags & instant coffee sachets. A hairdryer & iron/ironing board were also provided in the wardrobe. Plenty of sockets, including USB-A connections at the bedsides. Although double-glazed, there was road noise in the morning once traffic started as our rooms (1 & 3) faced the road - there are rooms on the other side facing the Firth of Clyde. There is also customer parking to the rear of the hotel. Our evening meal was delicious and generous portions - I ate my full mixed grill, though my 3 companions struggled to finish their main courses (I helped them with those! lol). Great choice of continental breakfast plus made to order hot food, including haggis, square sausage & tattie scones as a proper Scottish breakfast should have. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely return and recommend to others.

Thoroughly enjoyed our DBB overnight stay at the Seamill House Hotel. Fabulous room with a balcony looking out to the sea.

On arrival first impressions were the place needs a coat of paint but once through the front door it was obvious that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover Their is a large car park at the rear The inside has been completely refurbished We were booked into room 1 which is on the first floor at the front of the hotel The room was beautiful as was the massive shower room The down side is the hotel sits right on the road so there is obviously noise from the traffic ( earplugs are provided by the hotel ) The bed was large and comfortable There are 3 rooms at back of hotel all with balconies which we would book next time as it would be quieter We were booked on a DBB basis and the resteraunt has an amazing view over the sea to Arran Full menu available to choose from with a £25 p p allowance Food was delicious and the staff were lovely and helpful Breakfast was downstairs and was also nice We were surprised that we were the only guests in the hotel overnight Locals were in bar area for drinks in the evening Staff were happy for us to leave our car in the car park whilst we took the bus into Largs ( bus stop close by ) We had a lovely stay and will def return

Fab overnight at this hotel. Room was beautifully decorated and bed very comfortable. Booked dinner, bed and breakfast. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious with lovely views over to Arran. Couldn't fault anything. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay at Seamill House. It was our 30th wedding anniversary and they upgraded us to one of the balcony rooms which had a great view across to the hills of Arran. Lovely comfortable bed, excellent shower and huge bath. Good breakfast serving cooked food, toast, cereal and croissants (no fruit). Staff very friendly. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

You can take a wonder through this hotel and see that they value cleanliness. Lovely bar and restaurant with great views. Food was as good as you could ever wish for. But as usual what makes this happen are the staff. Very friendly and professional. Don't have any second thoughts if you're looking to stay in this area. Book this hotel with confidence.
