Had a great stay, Abbey Sands is in a great spot for exploring Torquay. Needs updating but room was clean. Location is great, the indoor pool and jacuzzi were a great addition.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Both receptionists we spoke to were lovely. 2 bedroom family room was excellent for us a group of friends. Good breakfast with lots of choice of continental and cooked. Prebooked parking was excellent. Good location with just a couple of minutes walk to the seafront. Only stayed 1 night, so we didn't try the pool. Hotel was a little dated and needs freshening up but it is a very old building.

I stayed here with a free upgrade to the most gorgeous art deco room over looking the sea and the park. The room was huge! It was a bitter cold weekend I didn't really want to leave my own home really but was very glad I did. The room was boiling hot, I had to open the windows! It was just a one night stay but it was impressive. I must do it again.

Really friendly staff and accommodating. Lovely service. We stayed in one of the newly built superior rooms on ground floor spacious clean room. Very close to the beach and a park and garden next door. Parking available but must book ahead. Overall cost effective and great experience.
