Room in need of refurbishment . Shower did not work and roller blind control broken. Cracks in tiles and vanity unit. Paint peeling off door. Could not sleep due to traffic noise. On the positive side there was loads of piping and the staff were all lovely. Meal on first night not very good, but second night was excellent.

My Partner and I could not fault this hotel, we were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Everything from the quality of service and food was second to none..... we will definetely be back!

A lovely Hotel, good food, friendly staff, couldn't fault it. We had an excellent stay and would certainly go back again.

No probs at all.. service and Hotel great! and food was fantastic.. we will stay there again.. Recommended!! :-)

Great area and position, all staff were polite and very helpful, food was excellent. Room was a little tired and not up to 4* as listed. Rusty metal windows with flaky paint in the bathroom, bath seal needed replacement as this was black and not very appealing whilst lying in the tub !! When the ceiling fan was on you can't turn the hall light off ! very distracting at night whilst trying to get to sleep. Fire alarm went off at 6am Tuesday morning, after jumping out of bed, went into corridor to see if alarm was real or a test, only other guests came out and we were given no appoloy in fact it was not even mentioned. Pleasant stay overall but it's only a 4* rating as it has a pool, gym and spa etc. Didn't expect the Ritz but was a little dissapointed.

Room comfortable, despite being above a suite which was being totally refurbished, with the accompanying noise and disruption. Some staff were not as helpful as one would expect (language barriers didn't help). Wrongly overcharged by more than double (although this was corrected after we pointed out we should have been on the Classic Britain special rate) and the 'Romantic Break' bottle of bubbly and box of chocolates were not provided in the room, although after querying it we were given the bubbly, but had chocolate brownies in place of the chocolates. After writing to the Manager on our return home, she restored our faith in the Hallmark Hotel. However, this could easily have been avoided - maybe more staff training/attention to detail re customer care?

UPON ARRIVAL WE FOUND WE HAD NO RESERVATION AND THE HOTEL BLAMED CLASSIC BRITAIN IN TURN YOU BLAMED THEM , THIS WAS A SURPRISE FOR MY WIFE AS IT WAS OUR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY WE HAD THINGS ARRANGED FOR THE AFTERNOON AND COULD NOT FULFILL THESE DUE TO THE WORRY OF NOT HAVING A ROOM FOR THE NIGHT , AFTER MUCH TOOING AND THROWING WE EVENTUALLY WERE ACCOMADATED HOW EVER HAVING OUR ARRANGEMENTS SPIOLT I BELIEVE WE SHOULD HAVE SORT OF COMPENSTATION FROM EITHRE YOUR SELVES OUR HALLMARK HOTELS PLEASE REVERT WITH THE CORRECT ANSWERS THE SERVICE WAS POOR AS WE THOUGHT THEY WERE UNDER STAFFED BUT THE FOOD WAS V
