Room was clean although the shower door was loose and not on a runner, the bathroom could do with an upgrade. We ordered food in the bar area and was cold on arrival. When we complained the restaurant manager was very rude. He took the food back and just re-heated it. We had booked in for bed and breakfast and this is a dog friendly hotel and dog are only allowed in the bar area which we were aware of. However as you have to seat in the bar area for breakfast there was no tables set with cutlery for guests to eat and we had to enter the restaurant to take your food from the buffet but by he time we searched around for cutlery etc the food was cold.

My friend and I booked in for the Rod Stewart Tribute Night. We arrived at 3.00pm but had to wait 10 minutes for our room, which was very nice, unfortunately there were no water drinking glasses, we had to go and ask at reception for these. We decided to go for a swim but on arriving at the pool we noticed you had to have a code to enter the pool area, this we did not have, so again had to make or way to the reception area, wrapped in swimwear and towels. Later in the evening we made our way to dinner, which we had in the restaurant. My salmon was lovely but my friends steak was quite tough to chew. We then made our way to the hall to watch the Tribute where people were sitting eating, back to reception to be told THATS where we should have had our dinner as it was a set meal, we were never told this. We were then told to check the notice board for my name and table number, It was not displayed. The receptionist managed to find someone who eventually got us a table away at the back of the hall right next to entrance/exit of the kitchen. When we asked the waitress why my name was not displayed, the answer we got was "your here now", very unprofessional. With the set menu in the tribute hall we would have been given a dessert but we only had a set amount of money to spend in the restaurant which covered our main dish only. When I sipped the vodka/tonic I had bought, it tased mostly of tonic, I was informed it was a smaller measure of 25ml which is mostly used in England/Wales. As for the tribute act itself, he was diabolical. We could not hear a word he said/sung, his sound system was appalling, all the guests in the same area as us said the same thing, we were all bored. To sum up, it was a shambles. Staff did not inform us of any of the above on our arrival, especially that dinner would be served in the 'Tribute Hall'. Bedroom was lovely.

Took 40 minutes to check in. Not on list for our table at tribute so hotel had to make one up. No choice of food at dinner, chicken for main and cheesecake and one of our company was served 20 minutes before the rest. Rod Stewart tribute also rubbish as we couldn’t hear his voice much, the music completely droning him out. Lastly breakfast was cold and had to wait 10 minutes for fried eggs. On the plus side the hotel is nice but the organisation was a complete shambles.

The hotel was first class staff very helpful. The tribute act was a little disappointing as for most of the songs you couldn’t hear him as the backing music was far to loud he may have been aware of this as he did try and adjust but didn’t really make much difference. The gentleman doing the disco music was very good.

On arrival, receptionist was lovely and so welcoming. The hotel was immaculate throughout, our room was lovely and beds very comfortable. No noise and that was a busy weekend. The food was Delicious and good value for money. Waited quite a while on our steak one night (almost an hour) which let it down a bit, I also had to ask for our water and steak knives to be brought over after waiting for those too. This let it down slightly. Kara was fantastic and very attentive throughout our stay. The spa was amazing, very clean and relaxing. Maybe offer some green tea in the relaxation room that would have been appreciated after a lovely treatment. Bar staff great and good banter. Unfortunately they shut the bar on our last night relatively early, they also turned the tv off and lights off..when a god few residents were still in the bar enjoying drinks and the sport on TV, we weren’t given any instruction on how to order additional drinks, as it states if you are a resident you should be able to have access to the bar and drinks. Found this very strange and raised it with the receptionist on check out..who also said that wasn’t normal procedure and would find out why for me. This didn’t spoil our stay by any means. Also a price list for the mini bar in the room would have been advantageous.

Was told on phone we would get free upgrade as it was our anniversary and was charged £25 extra at check in for this & felt embarrassed at the time to mention what was said when I called earlier on that day as reception was busy. Told reception at check out that we were kept up with people above us like elephants! With a hotel as big as this we would expect to have no one above us to refrain from complaints of noise, we don’t get away much and overall it was quite disappointing as we kissed breakfast and use of health suite in morning as we were so tired from being kept up, and all the offered us was to get use of spa facilities at check out time when we had to go collect our little girl. Woman at bar was lovely to speak to otherwise not the best customer service.

Recently returned from a lovely Christmas break at the Westerwood! Beautiful entrance on arrival and lovely to see the Christmas touch with decorations, trees and a cosy fireplace made it feel luxurious. Staff can’t do enough for you - Kirsty on reception and Euan serving dinner - first class service a smile. We loved the Prosecco and Christmas tails, shaken fresh and tasted incredible. We used the spa the next day and thought the available of treatments was great - we went for 2 x 25 min Elemis treatments. Helen our the was excellent and did a wonderful job of massage and facial. The spa facilities were fabulous - sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were hot and we felt very relaxed. Overall, a wonderful stay and already booked again soon! Thank you!

My friend and I had a lovely stay. Rooms were nice and very clean, with the added bonus of a fridge. Spa and facilities were great and very well used. The food was amazing, all staff were very helpful and nice nothing was too much trouble. We cannot wait to come back! Thanks ??

Room was absolutely amazing. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Ordered a tail and was given a mocktail. Found the bar prices a bit dear £29.90 for a long vodka. Double jack daniels and 4 packets of crisps but will definitely be back. Had a lovely night away for our wedding anniversary.

All in a good overnight stay few issues such as paid for the overnight with card that day of arrival then they charge you another 50 pds upfront for any expenses which would be refunded in a few days spent 30 pds on drinks which had to pay for next morning feel that should have been taking off the upfront payment of 50 pds although 50 pds will be refunded I felt out a lot of money Breakfast was cold did return it to waitress and returned to buffet for a fresh breakfast which was still cold apart from the beans

Nice room, nice hotel Bar and reception and nice staff. We enjoyed the room and the bar area. Nice and cozy with a nice vibrant atmosphere. Our evening meal food was very good too. However, on arrival we asked for a couple of robes to be sent to our room so we could use them to go to the spa. The manager called the Spa asking for them to be sent to our room but we never received them. During diner our pre diner tails arrived after our starters and the bottle of wine we had ordered with our diner didn’t arrive until we had finished our meal, even after asking 3 different staff members during our hour meal. We declined the bottle of wine because it was too late and we were standing up leaving having finished our meal. Leaving the restaurant we asked them to ensure we were not charged for the bottle of wine and they confirmed it was deleted from our bill but during check out we noticed they had charged us for it. The manager was checking us out and didn’t really acknowledge our comments which we were careful to be kind about. This was also disappointing. Breakfast was a bit of a shambles. At some point there were no plates available. One of the coffee machines was out of order and when staff were advised they just point us in the direction of the other coffee machine with a queue of 7 people instead of trying to sort it out. These issues tarnished what would have been a nice overnight spa break.

We had a fantastic night at the Westerwood hotel and spa. The room was airy, clean and very comfortable. The facilities were fantastic and the food very good. The staff very attentive and happy to chat. We had our dog with us, and would definitely return. It was a night away for my husbands birthday and we also both had a treatment at the spa. Can't recommend the hotel highly enough, looking forward to our next visit. The only issue I found was no socket close enough to the mirror, the hairdryer cord was too small to reach were the mirror is situated.

Had a relaxing break with good food and lovely service from the staff. Room was lovely and big with a huge bathroom. Hotel was spotless. Only 2 negatives were the price of drinks and maybe the place could do with some upgrades.
