I love staying here as the decor is so unusual and the staff are great, we are looking to have a room over looking the lake. The food in the resturant they do 2 menus one is set menu 2 or 3 courses for a set price, or you can eat from al carte menu which I highly recommend but each dish is individually priced and if having burger or steak your chips are extra. There is a good choice of typical English breakfast items but also continental selection on offer, it is a help yourself breakfast between 7am and 10am Mon to Frid. The entrance to the car park is after the building on the left which was a concert hall, there is a public car park on this road but head towards water and then head left.

Quite disappointed with our stay and we will not return. I never recd a reply to an email sent earlier in the week re check in time. Room was nice enough but both evening meal and breakfast were very poor.

Hotel was lovely , in a central area, reception staff were good but restaurant staff were clearly having issues , no communication and service very slow even though we were the only table dining at the time .

My wife and myself stayed here for one night on a dbb deal. The hotel is very modern with stylish public areas and clean comfortable bedrooms. The sun loungers on the verandah outside the bar are a nice touch.We had room 311 which had fantastic views over the lake .Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Unfortunately dinner let the hotel down badly. We booked for 8.o.clock and on arriving it was extremely quiet, 4 other people were dining. The deal we were on included three courses from a set menu. My wife asked two different people what the soup of the day was neither could answer. Eventually we both ordered the soup. 30 minutes later our soup arrived which was very nice. I ordered fish and chips and my wife ordered the steak which incurred a £5 supplement however she had to prompt the waiter to ask how she'd like it cooked. The waitress then asked my wife if she'd like desert while i was still eating my main! Basic restaurant etiquette is sadly missing. After finishing our meal the waitress then tried to charge us for the whole meal. Sorry for the rant but the experience spoilt what would have been a lovely stay.

This was mine and my Husbands first time here for our Anniversary. We were pleasantly surprise wen checking in to be upgraded to The Penthouse suite which was beautiful. All staff and food was very good. Will definitely return.

A lovely hotel in a superb position. Room clean and well equipped with a great view. All staff very friendly. The restaurant had a 'cafe' feel, unusual for a four star hotel. Dinner didn't feel like an occasion. However we would return but on bed and breakfast basis.

Entrance to the hotel is very sp and unwelcoming. Once upstairs the hotel comes into it's own, with the foyer being modern, rustic with warm colourful furniture, cushions and throws.

We reached southport at 1.20pm found the hotel and asked if we could leave our luggage, they checked and advised that if we wait 20 minutes then we could get into our room, we went to the bar and had a drink and as advised they let us know our room was ready. Hotel staff very friendly and professional, prosecco and box choc left in room as per the deal we purchased , our friends met us in hotel and we all had dinner and drinks, food was lovely, will def be back.

Lovely hotel, clean throughout, friendly staff and gorgeous food, Only criticism would be the way breakfast was either make it table service or self service.

Enjoyed our stay. Thought room should of had 2 comfy chairs. So we could both sit down comfortably. Had one comfy chair and one dressing table chair. Enjoyed the food. but thought they were a bit too quick bring out the main after our starters. Would have liked a bit of time in between serving them. Otherwise an enjoyable stay

FABULOUS We enjoyed everything about our stay and the deal we had with My Hotel Break . The Hotel is ultra modern spotlessly clean , super conmfy beds ,luxurious bedding and the staff are friendly and nothing us too much trouble We can't wait to visit again

We have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at the Bliss Hotel and cannot praise the staff, bedrooms and food enough. We would highly recommend this hotel and its location in Southport.

Our room was fantastic although end at the balcony door and one round by bedroom window, one hand towel and one main towels smelt of cigs. PS left ends for you, I am not picking those up for anyone... Otherwise an amazing room, Hotels Break.com said my room was on the 4th and 5th floor actually on the second with a wall built round which made the fantastic views only available while standing, a great shame. Restaurant and service and food was a disaster, first night ordered lemon and star anise gin tail got lemon and chilli flakes... very odd. Schnitzel was not pork but a chicken Kiev and the garlic butter had leaked out, you can get chicken schnitzels however its beaten out flat and the parcel is filled with garlic, this was a straight chicken kiev. terrible, tough overcooked dry and tasteless. Second night full of intrepidation, worried the food would be bad... no need to worry, they forgot our food completely, OH and us..lol . 45mins waiting for a soup I went to see how it was going only five other tables all after us all either finished or on mains. Hotel.com say on their web site all locally sourced but I can assure you the burger had not seen a local animal, this was vile, disgusting, chef hang your head in shame. I have spent 26yrs cooking and running hotels never have I seen an establishment using such terrible quality produce. So shocking. I know these reviews are ignored but please please get minced beef burgers made from minced beef, sourced locally from a butcher, not pureed animal products! The Fish and chips seems the best option on the menu but the fish is poor quality and of unknown origin but I can say it was not fresh cod as it was grey I know 90 percent of people do not know what they are really eating your problem is I DO. You will see I have over rated the service at a two only because they worked hard to sort us out every time we asked. Just gave up asking! Working in places like this can be such a tough job when managers are working on bottom line. We the public deserve named meats and fish on a menu, cooked with care and presented well, you have a great product managed very badly and with a lack of skill in essential areas. Last but not least first night we had a bottle of chardonnay, it smelt of farm yard and airfix glue. It was a screw top so its not possible for it to be corked but might have been blended with a corked product. We watched other tables struggle with the same bottle, you need to check these.

Had a fantastic stay at the Bliss Hotel. Close to all amenities and pier. Will definitely be visiting again. Well organised and staff so helpful.
