Had a lovely stay but not enough staff on serving in restaurant and the poor staff on were run off their feet ! The reception staff wasn’t particularly pleasant when there was a mix up about my booking and only believed I had changed it when. I showed her an e mail from Hotelbreak . Com . The restaurant staff were excellent and very polite and helpful but the girl on reception was not ! Disappointing as the reception staff are first point of meeting for guests !

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Our room was a good size as was the bed which was very comfortable. The staff member looking after the leisure club was so nice and helpful. As we're the bar staff and breakfast and reception staff. I believe the hotel is under new ownership and they seem to be making good moves in bringing the hotel up to date. Will be back. Great value

Rooms are a little tired however there was a lovely freshly cooked breakfast and pool facilities are good too. In a great location, near all the lively pubs in Drymen.

I think the rooms (or at least the one we stayed in) had been recently re decorated and so the reviews about tired rooms do not seem to reflect my experience. The bar/conservatory was light and airy. The restaurant was clean and nicely presented with tables nicely spaced. Food was good at value for money prices. We both had 3 courses and a bottle of wine for £70. All in all I couldn't fault this hotel and would highly recommend it as a good quality place to eat and sta

Great location and the friendly staff and the facilities. Beds were very comfortable and it was good that the heating was on as the room was nice and cosy. Breakfast was very nice. Enjoyed using the spa facilities too.

We had another very enjoyable visit to the Buchanan Arms Hotel in May 2019. The room (31) was always warm, the beds were very comfy and the room was clean and serviced daily. The food was very good, as always, with a buffet breakfast and varied evening meals, with excellent sweets. We visited the leisure centre daily . We used the pool, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi, which are all very enjoyable and relaxing. The staff are always a credit to the hotel - cheery, attentive and efficient. The lounge areas are warm, bright, airy, warm and relaxing. We would certainly return to this hotel again, and would recommend to others intending to visit the Loch Lomond area.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Lovely room (4) and spotless. Meals were lovely (could do with more veg on plate) . Excellent leisure facilities. Didn't like not being able to take our free bottle wine in for dinner. Couldn't have drank in room then have dinner! On the whole staff very friendly and helpful. Especially THOMAS the barman (aka Sean? - from Mabel?). Just a wee misunderstanding!! Couple wee things to mention - towels too small, no hairdryer in room & doors in breakfast room need scrub and paint on both sides.

Had a terrific stay. Leisure centre has a great pool, jacuzzi steam room and sauna. Changing area well kept, clean and equipped with plenty of showers, hairdryers and changing cubicles. Gym area equipped to a high standard too. Had a lovely room, with a huge comfortable bed, nice linen and well kept bathroom, even had a comfy sofa! Evening meal delicious, great choice of hot and cold food at breakfast. Must also compliment all the staff, so helpful and pleasant. We will definitely return, had a much needed relaxing break.

The room was very comfortable and clean, but items could do with updating, the radio alarm clock was totally useless, I couldn’t set the time on it and the radio cracked all the time. The lightings in the room was not very good, both the ceiling light and the table light. The food in the restaurant was 1st class. And service was very good. Good leisure facilities too.

We have stayed at a few hotels but this has got to be one of the most hospitable ones, from the moment we arrived till the moment we left the staff coukd not do enough for you, loved it so much I am returning 4 days later. Thank you to all the staff for a liovely stay and the village of Drymen is lovely and the locals are so nice.

I found the staff at the Buchanan Arms to be very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The dining room and lounge area were nicely decorated with a modern feel, nice area to relax in the conservatory. The bedrooms were clean, comfortable beds but could do with a lick of paint. The buffet breakfast was good, the same run of the mill breakfast nothing to make it stand out from other hotels. The evening meal, the staff very kindly asked the chef to make homemade onion rings for us, very tasty, we had steak for our main, it was good but I've had better. The pool and spa area was very relaxing, the hot tub was amazing. We didn't have time to use the gym but it was very well kitted out. The hotel is situated very close to Loch Lomond, ideal for a drive or walk around the Loch. On the whole we had a lovely time and would definitely stay again.

Hotel was fine but they should do something about the expensive bar as many including myself went to the local bar cos it was too expensive.£4.80 a pint is not on

We had a relaxing two night break. We got a great DBB deal through My Hotel Breaks which also included a bottle of wine and a complementary upgrade. I was really disappointed that we didn't get the upgrade (suect to availability apparently) when the hotel didn't appear to be full. We spoke to others who did get it and who were only staying one night so that added to our disappointment. The room was clean and the bed comfortable but it was badly in need of refurbishment. However, the staff were very friendly and service was good. The food in restaurant was excellent. Dinner included two courses from a set menu - some mains with supplements (between £5 and £10).

I keep coming back to this lovely hotel. The staff are friendly, the beds are comfy, the lounge is beautiful and the food is wonderful. In fact the food was so good it surpassed my recent experience at a Michelin starred restaurant. Well done chef. I didn't avail myself of the spa facilities but have been on previous occasions. Fantastic value for money. Thank you to all the staff.

There was no Iron and Iron Board in room, damp patches on ceiling in bathroom, mirror light in bathroom did not work, chair for dressing table was unstable and socket on dressing table was very slack just not up to the standard with the rooms I've had booked in past with myhotelbreak and other online sites. I'm glad we only stayed one night and overall room decor was tired and dated. On the plus side staff were very helpful and pleasant and food was nice. But would not recommend it to my family or friends

Check in was fine. Room a bit dated and can hear visitors in upstairs room. Gym clean, breakfast amazing and checkout horrific. Rude receptionist. We were told we were unable to use the swimming facility after checkout (even though there are signs in the gym that you may use the leisure facilities foir a charge of £5pp) This was not offered. Whilst I awaited on my partner getting changed I witnessed the reception be rude to other guests. I strongly suggest this area be looked at as it has put me off the whole hotel.
