Nice stay, staff lovely. Room lovely and clean, but terrible smell along first floor corridor. Maybe because of back door left open. I know it's dog friendly but don't agree with dogs sitting on lounge seating .also saw a couple of dog fights. If I could make a suggestion bedroom's on ground floor be allocated for dogs and owners.

I’ve visited this hotel on a number of occasions over the years & i class it as my happy place as I feel completely relaxed here, the staff are exceptional & always very helpful ( on this visit Linda & Colin in management & Stevie in maintenance were outstanding) but it’s with a heavy heart I have to say that the hotel beyond the reception area needs some love & the owners need to take this seriously as their employees are the first port of call for any complaints even though they deal with this so graciously it seems unfair, especially considering this is a beautiful hotel with a special place in many customers hearts & I include myself & my family in this.

Stayed here for two nights with an offer for three course dinner one night and breakfast each morning. Staff were very welcoming. Lovely hotel right on the water front, very picturesque, had a superior room (first floor facing out onto the loch), Had a double room, comfortable bed, plenty of drawers and a wardrobe, could have done with having a small fridge. There was tea and coffee making facilities. Bathroom had a really powerful shower. Our dinner and breakfasts were well presented. Had a bar meal second night good value. Will visit again sometime.

Our bathroom had mould in many places on with wallpaper hanging off and part boarded up window. We were in formed the hotel was full so we couldn't move. The bar prices and quality is very poor plus barman had no interest and even informed us that several things were broken and ody seems to care. The only area we found anything of quality was the restaurant which is why I have scored accordingly. Suffice to say, we will never stay at The Arrochar again.

Lovely hotels overall Rooms oerhaps could do with a bit of a deep clean. Our room had a very filthy phone in the room. Phone was ok and really enjoyed the evening singer

Lovely hotel! Great location, friendly staff, good food and it felt that they were truly dog friendly rather than dog tolerant (as with a lot of places)

We have been coming to Arrochar hotel for 7 years this is the first visit in the summer. It was a bit of a disappointment we thought the receptionist wasn't very accommodating she wasn't very welcoming last time we were there we were automatically given an upgrade as we were returning customers, I asked this time and was abruptly told you need to call to request this before hand. At breakfast you normally get your yeast tea and coffee brought to your table they never explained you have to do this yourself or asked have you been here before then explain what the protocol is that would have helped, the stay just wasn't the same James who is normally there always made us feel welcome but he was on holiday it was a bit disappointing as it was our 2nd wedding anniversary and we had got engaged there 7 years ago and always loved going there.

Room was small and tight to move around, view from widow was terrible gas supply tanks and trees right outside window with backyard needing a clean up ie. old gas cannisters lying on the ground. Bathroom had mould on bath and on skirting on floor, cobwebs above door with spider. Rail on wall above bath held together with an old rusty nail.

Hotel room was dirty on arrival and changed to another room, next day when we asked for room service it was about 4pm when staff arrived and didn’t seem pleased when asked to clean the room, which wasn’t done!! Food in the hotel was good.

Paid extra for loch side view which was worth it. Hotel very tired and some areas need a good paint. Some small attention to detail could cover up damaged items re ripped curtain lining in the dining room. This could be sorted by ensuring the damaged area is in the folds when tied back. Staff were all very pleasant apart from one chambermaid who held the lift until she was ready to use which meant no one could use. We only ate in the hotel one night and the food was very good. Our bed needed replaced, it was that bad I had to sleep at the bottom. All in we had a good couple of days with fantastic views.

Hotel a bit tired but the friendliness o the staff and the cleanliness of the whole place more than makes up for it. Spectacular views over Loch Long from the dining room and the bar. Food in the restaurant is fabulous and is good value for money. Had a lovely couple of nights stay but on our next visit we will book a room with a view over the loch.

Spent my 75th birthday in the hotel and enjoyed my time there. No question it is a bit tired in the room but very clean and the public areas were very nice. The two breakfasts I had were excellent and of the two dinners one was very nice and the other not so good but not bad.

Myself and my partner came to the arrochar hotel for my partners birthday wee realy enjoyed the wknd here only down fall was the signal on the tv but other than that food was great and staff were friendly definitely come back again x
