My wife and I stayed in South Beach hotel for one night in September, while on vacation from America, before catching the ferry to Arran the next day. We were in Glasgow during the day, setting our daughter up in the rental apartment she'd be staying at while attending Glasgow University. We didn't arrive at South Beactil late in the evening, and the kitchen had closed. We went to the bar to have a drink and some snacks, and, while sitting at a table having our drinks, a member of staff appeared with a tray of sandwiches they'd made up especially for us, as they didn't want us to go gry. First class service, which was very much appreciated! The staff of the hotel were very friendly, and the hotel itself is quaint, and is very close to the beach. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Troon.

Upon arrival the receptionist was very friendly and professional, she even showed us to our room. The room was comfortable and very adequate for our purpose as we were only staying for 1 night and had an early ferry to catch the next morning. The lounge area was very smart and a relaxing environment to enjoy a drink in. Although the breakfast was served from 7:30am, as we were taking our luggage to the car at 7:15am, Jacqueline and her team kindly arranged for us to be served a bit earlier as we needed to be at the Troon ferry terminal for 8:00am. We will certainly be booking into this hotel in future. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay relaxed and stress free.

The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The food, including breakfast, was delicious. The shower in my room was great and the hotel is in a nice spot close to the beach and a short walk to the town centre.

Good established traditional hotel . All staff were lovely. Great breakfast. Rooms could do with an update but were clean warm and comfy.

We asked for and got a room with a sea view. The room was of a good standard, clean and quiet. The service was great for evening meal and breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.
