Great hotel, very easy to find just off the motorway but also no noise from the motorway which is great. Plenty of parking. We had a room in the garden section which is just behind the hotel, lift was out of order when we stayed, but only 1 floor up. Room was nice enough, clean and tidy. No plugs next to the bed and the shower didnt have the best pressure i think we're the only negatives. Didnt have dinner at the hotel as we had other plans, but breakfast was great. No complaints, definitely value for money. Will come back again.

We had a lovely stay here the room was clean and tidy the bed was comfy and the hospitality tray was well stocked. We had our evening meal at "Cooks" the on site restaurant which was lovely. The only downside was breakfast on Tuesday morning there was plenty of choice for the continental breakfast but as there was no sign of a hot buffet breakfast and a waitress taking orders for a hot breakfast we were looking forward to a freshly cooked breakfast arriving but when it arrived it was obviously from a buffet breakfast that was kept in the kitchen what a disappointment. The staff were all very professional and polite

Hotel room was clean and a decent size though the bed was quite small. The TV had limited channels and at times was unwatchable due to the poor signal. Breakfast was dissapointing. We ordered scrambled eggs and sent them back as they were green in colour. Looked like regurgitated boiled eggs.

I honestly don’t know where to start – it felt like staying in Fawlty Towers. We stood at the bar for 15 minutes before anyone appeared, only to be told they had practically no alcohol available. I asked for five different drinks and they didn’t have a single one – no tails, no Disaronno, no Kraken, no fresh juice. At one point I genuinely thought I was being pranked. The restaurant was no better – the “soup of the day” tasted like it came straight from a tin rather than being homemade. Rest of the food wasn’t great. In the room, there was no TV remote (had to call down for one) and not even a bottle of water provided in room either. I could write more of what I’m not happy with and I genuinely never write bad reviews. The only positive I can honestly give is that the bed was comfortable. Overall, I would not recommend staying here and certainly won’t be returning.

We received a warm welcome on arrival that continued throughout our stay. Thanks to all for being so accommodating with our requests. Great service with a smile and a nice sense of humour. Enjoyed the breakfasts with plenty of choices from continental to full Scottish.

We booked an overnight, accommodation was fine, bed was not firm for those who like it to be (me!). Dinner was lovely and breakfast was very good also. Staff were really nice, so would be happy to return.

Just returned from an overnight stay at the Grange Manor with my husband. Booked a deal which included breakfast and bottle of fizz. I also had an afternoon tea voucher which I used. The staff were friendly and the room was well equipped and clean. We had a room on the first floor which looked out onto the overspill car park. Both the afternoon tea and breakfast were delicious with plenty of choice on both. Well worth the money, we will certainly return. The only very slight criticism would be that when entering the accommodation wing there is a smell of stale smoke that hits you but this didn't detract from our stay.

Third time staying here and this time was left feeling a bit disappointed overall. The rooms are getting more dated, we had four rooms and every one of them had worn/wonky lampshades, ours also had a burnt edge. The room had a funny stale smell which I thought would disappear by leaving the window open, however it remained as though it was coming from the carpet? A makeover is definitely needed. At the restaurant the waitress told us the haddock and sole weren't available. However a group of people who arrived after us were served fish n chips. One of our group was going to order the fish but obviously didn't, so we asked why the other table had received it, we were told there was only one piece left, mmm not what she said originally. Although to be fair the food we did receive was very nice. At breakfast we were told to help ourselves to cereal etc then the order was taken for hot food, we were all still eating cereal , fruit etc when the hot food arrived, again it was good but compared to previous visits it all seemed a bit rushed. I'm not sure if the hotel has had a change of owner but it certainly isn't as good anymore. Unfortunately we're unlikely to return.

Staff very friendly, though no dog bowl as stated on the website. Wouldn't stay again as the room was extremely smelly from previous dogs.
