Excellent in all aspects from reception to leaving. King size bedroom in twin formation was spacious,clean and overlooking a personal patio with table and chairs. Bathroom had walk in shower and a bath. Staff were freindly and efficient. Dinner had a good choice of 3 courses and was very tasty.

Fabulous hotel, staff were all so helpful and friendly from the beginning of our stay until the end.

As always the staff are very obliging to help you. Perhaps review staffing levels if dining room is busy to accommodate customer levels. A regular visitor to Hill Valley and enjoy coming to socialise with friend, relax and play golf.

Thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay DBB. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the amenities just what we wanted. Will certainly be booking again.

This is the second time we have stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food and service were excellent and the upgraded room was lovely as before. It was great value for money and we will come again.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was very spacious,modern and clean with a very large comfortable bed and many other features. The bathroom was also well fitted and a good size with everything you needed. The food was excellent and service all round was very good and efficient.I also used the spa and the treatment was very enjoyable. I didn't use the pool but it looked lovely and a good size with loungers around it to relax.Would definitely come again.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting and is well maintained the only negative was the poor service at the evening meal mainly due to lack of staff. Having overheard a group of golfers discussing whether they would return or not after going there regularly over the past few years due to the service and high drink prices.

The bedrooms are very good - just an extra touch of maintenance for a ten score. Service overall was excellent except that our cooked breakfast was delivered before we had finished our cornflakes. The food again overall good except that the starters on the first night were very poor and both my 1st and second choice of main course from the a-la-carte were unavailable. Then my final choice came cold. The food on the second night was very good. The food and wine is very expensive.

lovely venue surrounded by the golf green and trees, immaculately kept . food and service great . TV REMOTE WASN'T WORKING AND THE KETTLE NEEDED A GOOD DESCALE . THE BED WAS COMFY IF A BIT LUMPY AS IT WAS TWO SINGLES JOINED TO MAKE A KING . STINGY WITH THE BISCUITS AND TEA /COFFEE IN THE ROOM . would go again sometime , lovely town centre

Overall package from Classic Britain was fantastic value. Great hotel and location. Choice of menu and quality of food was very good. Had to request the complimentary bottle of wine and glasses in room but staff were very obliging.

the reason for the low score on service was all to do with the dinning room service. First night no booking although had booked with reception, breakfast on next day given to wrong table and in all took 1 hour 25 mins to finish our breakfast and second night table booked was given to other guests. One meal was sent back because it was cold. They were very apologetic but there were too many errors. The dinning room is too small and the service was disorganised. The free bottle of wine was only a half bottle but on complaining this was changed to a full bottle. However the hotel was excellent. The room was very good and the pool etc was excellent. The manager we spoke to, Mr Michael Macintosh, was very obliging. All the staff were friendly and helpful and we would consider returning to see if this was a one off.

I was very happy to read your positive comments with regards to the quality of food and also our hotel and facilities. Also Michael was very pleased to receive a special mention. I was less happy to read the comments with regards to the service standards in both the dinner and breakfast service. I have discussed the points raised at length with my food and beverage manager, Liane, and we have also sat down with the team to ensure that the relevant procedures are in place so as not to encounter similar issues again going forward.
