Booked very last minute Room was very small and tired asked to be changed but unable to do this as the hotel was full. Was more like a single room with very small bed. Room very warm unable to open window as bins were directly below. Public areas were nice and staff were great however staff were very busy. No steak available for evening meal and breakfast had no yoghurt available. Attention to detail just missing

The hotel is in a good location due to a large park being across the road and ample parking being available. It has been described as being a stone throw from the city however in reality it is 2 miles. There is a main bus route nearby which makes travel relative easy. During our stay at the hotel there was a wedding which was rather noisy despite this the staff remained courteous and helpful

Good value and location. Clearly not a 4 star, but for the cost, fine and particularly after the upgrade to a double room.

I found my stay very pleasant. I would stay there again. There wasn't anything I could fault. Went to Lark Lane for dinner which was lovely. The staff were very friendly in the hotel and helped me with booking our business dinner.

We had booked a standard double room but on arrival, our room was upgraded to the Directors Suite. My first words on entering the room were "wow". The room was large with a four poster bed and antique furniture plus there was a very large bathroom with both a bath and a seperate shower. We had a view over Sefton Park and although the hotel was on a main road, it was very quiet at night. The hotel was about a 20 minute walk to the city centre but we chose to walk a short distance to the bus stop which took us right into the centre. We left our car in the secure car park at the hotel. We close to eat in the hotel every evening with the food being excellent and very good value. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you don't mind not being in the centre of the city. We will definitely return.
