Enjoyed our stay. Staff were excellent, really helpful and cheerful even on a Monday morning. Food was very nice. Close to a number of National Trust places which was handy. Room though a little too hot for us and the bed too soft.

A lovely old Inn you could feel the history of the place, we stayed in the old section. We had a lovely big room with all the extras you would expect and more. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. All the staff were polite and courteous. The food in the restaurant was excellent and well priced. The reason I gave the room a 9 was that neither of the bedside lamps were working , we did report this on leaving we were thanked and told this would be sorted immediately.

Great room, lovely old feel, spacious and comfortable. Could improve by having a hook for the shower hose (you have to hold it), was also a bit noisy last times as our room was above reception and near road.

Nice enough... Stayed in the rooms out back so cannot speak to the rooms in the main house. Doors were paper thin so you could hear conversations in the hall as if they were in the room. The doors also slammed automatically even if you were trying to be neighbourly. Beds were small and springy... Combined with the room being overly warm, made for a rough nights sleep. But the bar was nice. And it's a lovely historical building. The staff is also friendly and helpful. Fine for one night, and good value for money. Wouldn't want to stay longer
