This hotel says it is near the SECC and the city centre..... it isn't it is 9 miles away it cost us a fortune in taxis 86 pounds to be precise to get back and forwards to the city centre. I am disabled so buses were not an option. It's in a strange place in between 2 hospitals very strange and not convenient. Had early check in which they didn't seem happy about. In with our deal was meant to be a free newspaper water costa coffee and biscuits. Was told costa coffee wasn't working so offered no coffee in recompense. No newspaper either. Had to ask for water was given 1 small bottle between us. We felt everything was a bother to them and really didn't enjoy staying here at all. Lots of coach tours so waited ages for anything. Bought a can of cola on the Friday it was 2 pounds on the Saturday was charged 3. Very disappointing. Room was noisy as had a shilling sound that went all night not sure if it was from the hospital.

The room was so warm even with the window open. There was cobwebs in the room and the windows were disgusting needing cleaned also.

Staff were superb very friendly&helpful.Made our stay very enjoyable,taking an interest in ourselves and the kids.We all had a great time.We had dinner in hotel which was very tasty,breakfast was also delicious ?.We would definitely return.
