Clubhouse Hotel, Nairn

Booked this hotel on a last minute 2 night DB&B deal. Having read some mixed reviews after booking this hotel we really weren’t expecting much, but the hotel far exceeded our expectations. Staff extremely friendly, welcoming and couldn’t be more helpful. Room was clean, tidy, comfortable and very roomy. The bathroom was very clean and huge. Evening meal was served in the hotel bar, plenty of choice, huge portions and very good. Breakfast served in the sister hotel, less than 2 minutes walk away. Breakfast was cooked to order, and you could help yourself to fruit, yogurt, cereal etc. Good location, not far from town centre and the stunning beaches. Plenty of beautiful walks nearby, including Culbin Forest. Would definitely book to stay again.More

Room was excellent, clean and fresh, enjoyed the stay, staff were more than helpful. Bed was a bit too soft for my liking but that's just a personal thing I guess. Food was good and well cooked and presented, though would have expected more of an a la carté menu outwith the specials, which would have been more befitting of a 4 star IMO.

Food very nice and the modern boutique feel and decor of the hotel was lovely - however walls and floors like paper, you will need ear plugs! Low score to room was due to thinness of walls, the spec of the room was probably an 8.

Very nice friendly staff. Room 9 at top of hotel was very large and comfortable, but a bit of a climb, Not suitable for someone with walking difficulties. Would highly recommend.

Bar was nice, dinner very good, room was large, warm and very comfortable bed. Staff in bar at night very friendly, provided advice of where else to go in town. A good location to explore the beach or go to other bars, eateries.

Had a great stay here. Room was very big and spacious and very clean. Breakfast was great and the staff very helpful. Would recommend this hotel. Everything you need and and close to the high street and beach

Stayed for one night for a wedding nearby. Out room was clean and spacious. We had a small living area separate from the bedroom. Good facil, kettle, tea and coffee. Also had extra duvet and pillows which was great. Also a short walk from nairn beach which was perfect for a morning walk. We had breakfast included which we really enjoyed, recommend the full breakfast and the eggs benedict. Would stay here again.

Room within the main building was comfortable and clean. Huge flat screen TV was nice. Breakfast on the first morning (though it was obvious the ingredients were good quality) was very greasy - like it had been fried in an inch of oil. Evening meal was delicious and good value for money. Breakfast on the 2nd morning must have been cooked by a different person - it was cooked to perfection! Would stay there again.

I was invited along to a Wine Dinner hosted by a South African Wine Company and a colleague booked the accommodation. What a fantastic evening. The rooms were modern and spotless. The staff knew exactly what they were doing and the quality of the food superb, matching the wines perfectly. If they ever host another event, I'll certainly be back. Great value for money.
