The building is old, presumably historical, and this is pleasant if sometimes a bit too antiquated! Good breakfast, comfortable bed, spacious room for unpacking suitcases. Receptionist on arrival very helpful in arranging payment of our tunnel toll fee. The lift is miniscule but a lot better than nothing!

This is the 3rd time I have stayed at this hotel and to be honest it's always been good very friendly and helpful staff but this stay was best so far I asked for extra pillows and a fan they came very quickly And it was nice that all the pillows where Good quality Other hotels I have stayed need to take note Room very clean nice sea view Breakfast very good To be honest I think great hotel great service and great value for money Keep up the good work I look forward to my next stay with you

Had a one night stay in a twin room. Most comfy bed and clean bedding. Nice to have Windows that actually open.my only complaint would be the lighting wasn't good had several bedside lamps but no main lighting at all.Plenty of teas coffees sugar etc., NIce big bathroom clean white towels and toiletries provided .Breakfast buffet style plenty of selection and very nice. Friendly staff in reception,bar,and restaurant. Yes it's an old building needs some refurbishment ,has creaky floorboards and lift which is very small but I will definitely go back for another stay.

Arrived late at night for a last minute booking. I was experiencing a very bad day at the time.. From the first phone call up until I left I felt extremely welcomed and my mood was uplifted as soon as I stepped into the building. I am so happy I stayed at this hotel. Paul was amazing and I could not fault his customer service. Made me feel very looked after and went out of his way to make me feel at home. He made sure he went above and beyond to make my stay pleasurable. No request seemed too big. He was more than happy to help with anything. One of the only hotels I have felt the staff genuinely care for your needs. The room was perfect for me and had everything I needed. I stayed in a double bed which was very comfy with a tv, refreshments and very clean. Breakfast was nice with a lot of options and they even offered a wake up call and your choice of a news paper in the morning. Lovely Victorian building with a lovely view. Although it was only a short stay, I would defiantly recommend this hotel. The staff really go out of their way to make your stay personal and enjoyable.
