We just returned from an over night stay at the Loans Inn and all i can say was Superb from the moment we arrived we were greeted by a very pleasent manager which was a good start to our stay. When entering our very big room we were greeted by a bottle of Proseco and 2 glasses and a very nice note wishing us a Happy Anniversary which were chuffed with,,all the staff just couldn't do enough for you as nothing was any bother for them as it was great seeing everybody getting stuck in to make sure that the guest experience was met and it sure was,the food was first class and we can't wait to return.

Very nice hotel lovely rooms and dining area staff were great attentive and friendly cleanliness was exceptional had a great 4 night break .breakfast was excellent some of the evening meal dishes was not to my taste but could find something not an issue all in all great stay will definitely go back again

Had a lovely overnight stay for our wedding anniversary. Staff were all lovely, room was excellent, everything you need and comfortable. The special menu for dinner bed & breakfast deal was not very interesting- a few unusual choices plus a couple of standard pub menu meals. Think it could be much better. Breakfast was not great either- poached eggs were cooked to death , resembled very hard boiled eggs! The restaurant and bar are lovely, but don't think we would eat here again.

We had a nice stay. Happy with our room but the service at dinner was very poor and the food was no better than the food at a Witherspoon's pub.

Had a nice stay celebrating our anniversary. From booking in to checking out we were made to feel welcome. All staff were very friendly and welcoming can’t fault anything. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

The hotel was lovely, the food was great and the staff were very welcoming. The only down side was we had room 103 which faces onto the main BUSY road so from 5am we were awake with the constant traffic, this room could do with tripple glazing to keep out the traffic noise.

Lovely 2 night stay with friends. Very clean and comfortable room. Bar and lounge areas have recently been refurbished to a high standard. Had been a couple of years since our last stay and have to say that the improvement in staff and service was amazing. Staff very attentive and all working as a team..so nice not to see a mobile phone in sight. Special mention for Nell who looked after us at meal times...an asset to the place. Food was amazing, high quality ingredients locally sourced, the chef did a great job.

Food amazing, staff were great as a whole but a few grumpy gusses but we're all allowed off days. Room spotless and great size but bed wasn't great so didn't sleep all too well but would 1000% stay again.

The Old Loans Inn was a lovely hotel. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and as we were early, we were pleasantly surprised that our room was ready. It was spacious, clean and modern. We booked dinner in the restaurant and what a feast! The food was delicious. The turkey broth was absolutely amazing. My partner said it was the best soup he had ever tasted. The staff were all attentive and just lovely. Breakfast was lovely too. Overall, this was a fabulous stay and we will definitely be back.
