We had a fantastic stay, booked as a surprise for my husband & staff could not do enough. Special thanks to Leonie on reception. We had a lovely cream tea on arrival. Dinner was beautiful & fantastic choice of breakfast, both continental & cooked We had a beautiful room in the old part of the house. One thing we noticed was you could hear the conversation of the room below, with it being an old house, I imagine it's very hard to control noise travel. The guests below were quiet with no loud music but if there were noisy guests in the room this would keep you awake! Views are stunning and the pool was clean, warm with plenty towels. I would definitely recommend and we look forward to returning

View from the pet friendly room was superb! And every staff looked after ourselves so we had a great experience. Also there are many historical places to visit.

We booked a spring break which comprised afternoon tea, dinner, bed and breakfast. The food was superb. The service was formal without being stuffy. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. We booked a suite to stay in which was a little shabby in places but none the worse for it. We enjoyed the whole experience and would definitely recommend. If I had to make one recommendation for improvement to the room (Brismar suite), it would be to put a new carpet in. It was decidedly worn. But as I say, the overall experience was very good.

Our main reason for choosing Charingworth Manor was it was a dog-friendly hotel, but we had such a great time that it's now our preferred Cotswolds hotel, with or without dogs. The staff were all so friendly and the customer service excellent (nothing was forced as you can experience in some chain hotels) they were genuinely concerned in what worked for the customer. There were a couple of nice touches - when we mentioned to one of the bar staff about having our dogs with us she offered to set up a table in the drawing room so the dogs could join us for breakfast, at which they were then spoilt with their own ramekin of sausage slices. Also, we had mentioned at the time of booking that it was our anniversary and they presented us with an unexpected plate of treats after dinner. The view from the grounds was fabulous and the room clean, tidy and comfortable.

Had an enjoyable stay to celebrate my wife’s Birthday. Staying in the Eliot Suite (free upgrade) which was beautiful and had historical features. Comfortable Queen size bed and roll top bath. An Evening meal was included in our package. The Smoked Salmon with crab and Tenderloin Pork were superb. Accompanied by a large glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. A special mention for Graham & Marie for looking after us at the table. I would fully recommend this historical hotel for its charm, comfort and hospitality. The food and service are excellent.
