Couldn't fault anything from checkout to check in. Excellent location in the heart of the old town.

Lovely spacious apartment with very comfortable bed and powerful shower in a really central area of Edinburgh.

On our first trip to Edinburgh, Old Town Chambers was the perfect place to stay. It is a bit tricky to find if you are not familiar with the Edinburgh Closes, but our driver knew just where it was and we sent pictures of the Advocate Close entry to the rest of our family coming after us so no problem. We were traveling with our 89 year old mother so all the steps to the place made for a slow pace, but inside the hotel the lift was excellent. Our apartments were huge and so very nicely decorated. They were equipped with all the comforts of home. We could have spent a week there easily, but only had two days. It is so centrally located that everything was accessible. Out the back of Advocate Close is an easy trip to Waverly Station where we caught the Hop On Hop Off buses easily. If you don't want to do the 100 or so steps down, follow the Royal Mile to burn St for a gentle slope to Waverly plus a little shopping on the way. Everyone was more that helpful with getting us settled into the two apartments we had. One had an upstairs bedroom and the other had a wonderful balcony overlooking the city. Terrific place to stay.

Lovely apartment with two bedrooms (one upstairs), two bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen and comfortable sitting area. 3 Tvs, Boase music system and good wifi. Milk in the fridge and a bottle of wine waiting on the table. Despite being close to restaurants and pubs it was very quiet at night. We slept well. Drawbacks - a chair or stool and hooks in the bathroom would help. The main drawback was the initial difficulty experienced trying to find the entrance.

I found this relatively easy to find but I have been to Edinburgh a few times. Situated just back from the Royal mile, it is nice and peaceful - and a 1 min walk to the royal mile. The rooms are no expense spared, very luxurious and the best room I have ever had the privilege of sleeping in - in Edinburgh The staff cannot do enough for you, and answer any questions you may have with ease. Nice white fluffy towels, gowns and large tubs of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner mean you won't need to bring your own - easily 500ml sort of size. We absolutely loved the decor, old on the outside but contemporary on the inside. Proper coffee machine in room with pods was right up our street! We will definitely return at some point in the future. Overall this represented great value for money, I would recommend this place for anyone wanting a secret escape but with all the perks of city life within a few minutes walk.
